Versa stopped working properly

I have the FB505 Special Edition. It has worked great for quite some time. It has not been damaged in any way and a few months ago it started acting up for no reason. It only works when it feels like it! It will work fine for a day or two then it will go blank. When I try to sync with the app it, it shows it with a 99% charge but won't do anything. When I got it to work at one point, I performed all of the suggested steps to reset everything. I've done this process several times and it still won't work properly.

I think the manufacturers do this on purpose in order to get you to upgrade and buy their newer models.

I am over it and don't think that I will be replacing it with another FitBit. Looking at others to replace it now.

Hi there, @Smilestarter. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa is still not responding. I understand where your concern is coming from, I will do my best to help you with this!

As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Versa. Important: Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc.

To perform the factory reset, please try the steps below in the order listed:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?
