Versa stuck on the Fitbit logo screen

My fitbit stopped syncing(or is that sinking?) two days ago.  Today I shut it down and tried to restart it,  using standard holding down the back and bottom buttons. It eventually ended up showing the fitbit logo.  Problem is it won't get beyond showing the logo.  No swiping in any direction and it jus shows the logo then turns off the screen, then randomly shows the logo, then turns off the logo.  etc. etc.  Any suggestions other than throwing it away?  It is about 1 1/2 years old.

Hi @dmarc, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, it's great to see you in our Fitbit forums.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa shows the Fitbit logo only and then it turns off. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset in order to fix this issue. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup. After this, set up your watch from scratch.
  5. Finally, monitor your Versa and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
