Versa tracked a lot of steps while not being worn

I’ve had the versa for about 5 months and it’s been working very well, but for some reason when I woke up and took it out of the charger to put it on it said I already have walked 37,000 steps? That’s literally impossible, the steps always reset and my versa has never done anything like this before. How do I fix it?

That can happen if you have set it somewhere subject to vibrations, getting interpreted as steps.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hey @evermore1, let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit forums! As @JohnnyRow mentioned, if your Versa was left close to a fan or anything else that is vibrating on the same surface, it will record those vibrations as steps, so please place it on a different surface. I'm pretty sure that the issue won't happen again.

Let me know how it goes!
