Hi, @steve113, it sounds like you have Quick View turned on. With Quick View on, when you flick your wrist in a certain way the screen will light up so that you can see the information on your watch face. If you are moving in your sleep in such a way that your Versa is lighting up, you may want to turn quick view off.
You can do this on your watch by pressing and holding the left button, and then swiping left to "screen wake" and change it from "auto" to "manual".
Yu can also do it in your app by choosing your Versa icon and scrolling down to Quick View and set to "off" . If you do it in your app, be sure to sync once you have made the change.
If you want to use Quick View in the daytime, you will need to turn it back on again in the morning, either on the watch or in the app.

It will light up when you move your wrist, but you can turn this off in settings. Go to device settings in your profile and set "Quick View" to off. You will then not be able to view the screen unless you tap on it or press the left hand button, but it won't wake you up at night.

Hi
Any chance of a software update with 'night mode" where auto does not work? Save changing between the two modes every 12 hours?

This suggestion is outstanding. Fitbit, what say you?

Many users would love this, similar to phones turning off notifications between certain hours.

I agree.
It should be possible to set the watch into "night mode" where the screen doesn't light up and no messages are displayed automatically between two hours.

@stefaanv The Versa family has a manual sleep mode and the ability to set a schedule to do this automatically. If your schedule is erratic and you want to do it manually, swipe down and tap on the Quick Settings icon (looks like toggle bars). Tap on the moon to put it into sleep mode. Reverse the steps to go back. If you want to set a schedule, swipe left until you get to the Settings (gear). Tap on the gear, scroll down to Sleep Mode, tap on that, then tap on Sleep Schedule. Input your desired hours.
When your Versa is in sleep mode, you push the back button to wake the screen.

Except that it doesn't work! I just turned mine off. My fitbit does not light up during the day when I move my wrist, but continues to light up at night when I move around in bed. It is VERY annoying - both to me and to my husband. I do not see "sleep mode" in my settings. Is this only available on newer models?

@Tam10 I am sorry that you are having trouble. I reviewed the User Manuals for all three models and the instructions are the same for all three. Here are all three:
I hope this helps.

Thanks for this. I've had my Versa 2 a while and having recently retired have been annoyed with this problem. Going into settings I realized I had set up the schedule when new for when I was working nights. I had forgot about this setting. Finding that again will give me my restful nights back.
