Versa won't set up.

I have been trying to set up my Versa for the last 18 hours.  I have the Versa in the charging block, right next to my phone, right in front of my router.  It absolutely will not update.  Like, as in 0%.  Gotten several Failed messages.  Tried again.  I even uninstalled my previous Fitbit app and reinstalled it.  This did not help.  I have tried to use only Bluetooth, thinking my WiFi is not fast enough.  Still 0%.  So far, I've got to say this product is a complete WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

You'll absolutely need to connect it to WIFI in order to download the setup on your phone - then it will send the update files to the Versa over I imagine WIFI?

Have you only tried this on one device? Like only one Android phone? Perhaps try and pair it up with another device if possible?

Ah, darn. I kinda feel it could just be the phone not really working well with the app... What exact model is your phone if I can ask?

I would recommend checking that the Fitbit app has all the permissions to work on your phone.

An issue I ran into when I was setting up my Versa today was that my actual phone was connected to 5ghz band WIFI but the app would only see the normal 2.4gh band WIFI, making the set up fail. If you have multiple WIFI bands make sure your phone and the app are connecting to the same one.

That's all I can think of atm ^^

Oh, the Samsung Galaxy S8? If so, that should be a supported device... Ah, sorry, I'm not sure then myself ^^; if you purchased this from a shop, their customer service might help you instore.

I'd say double make sure in the android app settings the Fitbit app has all permissions to work correctly with the phone.

After a solid week of trying to get my Versa set up, both on my phone and my PC, I have finally given up and returned the device.  I am so disappointed.  Hopefully Fitbit can get the bugs fixed on this model.  Until then I'll try the Charge3.
