Versa won't sync to my iOS device

Versa usually synchs properly, both automatically and when i do it manually. But regularly when I try the manual synch my app informs me it can't find the device to synch, even though it's two inches from my versa. Any ideas why?

 

Also the weather app always shows no weather forecast, but has a message "Sync the Fitbit mobile app to update". It used to work, but now it only ever displays this one message.

 

And when ihas synched, the app quite often gives me a helpful message that notifications need to be switched on for synching to work - they are indeed switched on already. I have tried switching them off then on again, but the message still comes up at least daily.

 

Everything else seems to be working OK but these are increasingly irritating First World problems for me!

As a first approach, I'd like to confirm that you've followed the troubleshooting steps recommended in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

If so, I'd like to advise to do the following:


- Open Settings app on phone
- Scroll down, tap Fitbit -> Toggle Location to 'Always'
- Ensure toggles next to Bluetooth and Background App Refresh are turned ON

Give this a go and let me know the outcome.
