My Versa died while on vacation and i had forgotten my charger, therefore it was dead for about a week and i plugged it in to charge it last night and when i woke up to put it on the screen was solid blue so i tried to restart it but then the screen turned off and will not turn back on.

Try restarting it several more times. If that doesnt help try a factory reset. If that doesnt help you will need to contact Support (link in my signature)

Restart your tracker

FACTORY RESET USING BUTTONS
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

If the device turns on, please go back to the Fitbit app and setup your device back to your account with these steps. Make sure your watch is plugged into a wall plug or a computer, next to the router and that there are no other trackers or devices with Bluetooth on nearby when setting up.  Please log into your account, go to account on the upper right corner, there look for "setup a device" and tap on it. Follow the instructions on the screen and let the watch charge for 2 hours.

Hey @fblake, it's great to see you here and @NellyG thanks for the input.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this issue and would like to know if the instructions provided by our friend worked? Were you able to turn on your watch?

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy

I was about to return my Versa. Thank you for your post on resetting my device. Out the box it did not pair as easily as the Charge 3. I read a post about restarting blue tooth, the fitbit app, as well as the Versa. Your directions worked to pair and register device in FitBit app. Thank you.

Restarting it and factory restarting it did not help.  My fit bit is still completely unresponsive and it is only a couple of months old!

Hi Blake,

My Versa is out of the box as of this morning. Did not sync up as easily as the Charge 3 I purchased.

I followed the same steps as you did with this annoying sequence I found on restarting:

fit bit app on my cell (i even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it)

Stopping and starting my wifi, bluetooth, and location

Restarting the device

I cycled through the stopping and starting of the above a few time. Nothing.

I had to read and re-read the steps to reset factory setting at least 3 times before I got the (hold this button for this period of time then let this button go, and hold your leg in the air before turning your body around 3 times. Last part is a joke.

Eventually, I got the sequence of the reset correct and that is when the versa registered with my fit bit app.

I'd like to add - I also unpaired my other fit devices (I am not sure if that helped the process). Because I unpaired the charge 3 before the first reset attempt.

See if they will exchange your device. I am not sure of their return/exchange policy.

Good luck
