Volume control and Notifications not working-Versa

Hi, I'm having two different issues.

1 - in the last week or so, the volume control for music stopped working. I use my fitbit to control my playlist and volume, on my phone, when I teach Zumba. Phone is plugged in to earphone jack, plugged in to speaker. I have never had issues until approx a week ago, the volume control stopped working.

2 - I cant get text message notifications on fitbit. My messages+ app is selected as my default, and I cant get them. I can get facebook messenger, we chat, and other SMS message app notifications, but not my message+ app. I've tried deselecting messages+ as my default, and selecting another, so that I can make sure the check box is checked in the app notification list. I was only able to get text message notifications on my fitbit for approx 2 weeks, when I got my fitbit versa, in June. Have not been able to fix this

Thanks for the help!

I have a Samsung Galaxy s9+

Re #1) Try forgetting Versa Classing in your phone bluetooth settings and pairing it again. Then toggle the source phone/watch in music controls on your Versa.

Re #2) Check my post here. You can try it for Messages+, but I would recommend going with Samsung default app or Google Messages. Please note if you go with Samsung stock app, you need to make sure Preview is enabled in your text messaging app.

I'll piggy back of on this one rather than start a whole new one. Something similar has happened to me too in regards to having had the ability to control music and volume with the Fitbit Versa then all of a sudden that was no longer the case. I tried everything. First unparing the "Classic Versa" then re-pairing it, then deleting the Versa off the app and my phone completely, and then last was factory reset. None of which helped at all. The odd thing is that the "Classic Versa Connects" but still unable to have music and volume control from the Fitbit Versa. I am starting to get irritating with it. Hopefully this will clear up with the new FW OS update coming out now.

@ludawg94 in my case it's two things - 1) the right order - pair/unpair Versa classic, have music playing, toggle the source on Versa and press left button to jump up to controls. 2) Perform togglig numerous times - the source toggling and pressing of the left button has to be performed several times. But alas, it has always been this way for me.
