Watch Loses Connection While Running - unless app is active

Anyone else having this problem? I was checking the status of my run during my morning jog and it was saying "connecting..." at the top. If I opened the app to sync, it would be fine, and as soon as my phone went to sleep, the "connecting..." on my watch would show up again. When I checked my run at the end, it only tracked where I was when I had my app open.

 

Is this a glitch with the new interface? I cannot keep my app open during my whole run to get an accurate GPS track.

@haveamagicalday welcome to our Fitbit Community! By the way, I'm sorry for the late response. However, regarding the connection issue that your Versa experienced while tracking your running activity.

 

Please make sure that you are following the steps that are listed in this help article in order to track your activities.

 

If the GPS tracking is still experiencing the same issue, please follow the troubleshooting steps described in this help page. Finally, monitor your watch during the workout and see if the issue gets fixed.
