My fitbit has stopped tracking steps, but then will randomly start working for a short period of time and then stop again. It's really frustrating. The synch between my phone and fitbit are fine, so that isn't the issue, it's just the fitbit itself. I have restarted multiple times and it appears like it's completely stopped counting now. Is the only option to get a new one or are there other troubleshooting procedures I can perform?

Have you done a restart?
Do it at least 3 times.
