Watch steps don't match dashboard

Hi everyone. My Versa Lite shows I stepped approx 3,000 some steps. However the dashboard shows 5,000 some steps.  How do I fix this?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that your Fitbit Versa Lite and your dashboard are showing different number of your steps. Thank you for your efforts to resolve this. I recommend restarting your phone and the app and confirming that your watch is syncing. You can manually sync your watch by following the steps from this help article: How do I manually sync my tracker or watch?
