Water damage Versa 2

Second Versa in two years both lasted less than a year. Both have been the subject of water damage. The last watch was bough Nov 21 and is just in warranty but fitbit warranty team have been less than helpful and 4 days in the emails are drip fead and still not resolved. It seems to be computer says no! Rather than some help and advice. I have the original receipt from an online retailer and have just managed to get the serial number as i didn't have the box. That was a task in itself thanks to the community.

question is this a wide spread issue as i have seen that the quality of the seal degrades. If i have no confidence in the fitbit brand and their after care why should i look to replace. Does another else have experience please

I just experienced the same problem last night.

This appears to be an extremely widespread issue.

One of these chat threads goes back a couple years. And they're ALL about the Versa 2.

No help from Fitbit. Don't know if mines still under warranty or if I even registered it when I bought it.

That's my next mission. Determine that.

If warrantied/registered...I might give them the opportunity to make things right. If not... Another company will get my business.

Update on issue, Fitbit is in warranty but will not be honoured as this was purchased from an unauthorised dealer. Fitbit have offered a 37% discount on a new purchase but I have lost confidence in the product and will look at Garmin as a replacement. Sealing is obviously a widespread issue and degrades in a short period of time and is not as described water resistant to “ 5ATM”

this needs addressing as this is my second to fail due to this issue and suspect many more people will succumb to this issue

I have a Versa 2. Usually didn’t wear it when at my pool, but one day cleaning skimmer I had it on. It took on water under the face. Hadn’t worked since. Couldn’t believe it. Put it in rice. It did come back on but it didn’t work.
