Hi Guys,
I recently bought the Versa as a means of tracking my sleep. I have periods of time (weeks/months) where I have been waking up gasping for breath, or as I'm drifting off to sleep I am conscious of the fact that I'm not breathing and almost have to pull myself out of sleep to breath! It has been happening consistently for a couple of years now. It's very scary, but I spoke briefly with my doctor about it and she dismissed my concerns as being a normal thing that happens to everyone.
Having done some internet research it seems as though the symptoms indicate sleep apnoea. This would make sense as I snore very loudly but I don't want to go back to my doctor and waste their time if it's nothing.
Hence the Versa. I have been tracking my sleep but wondered if you guys could share your sleep patterns so I can compare mine and see what would be considered 'normal'?
Thanks!

Get a referral for sleep evaluation at a sleep center.

Regardless of sleep patterns, waking up gasping for breath is not normal and can indeed indicate sleep apnea. Snoring's another indication. A visit to the doctor would not be a waste of time if you ask me.
