Hi there, @Swimming4ever. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Fitbit occasionally releases free feature enhancements and bug fixes for your device through firmware and Fitbit OS updates. For details about each type of update, see What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update? and What's changed in the latest Fitbit OS update?
Note: We release updates to all customers in phases. If an update is available but you don’t see it, check the app again later.
See you around.

Hello @Swimming4ever
You can manually check to see if your Versa 3 has an update available for you. Just open the Fitbit App, tap your profile picture then scroll down to and tap Help & Support. Once there scroll to the bottom of the page and tap “Check for Versa 3 Update”. If a update is available it will let you know.
😃I hope that provides you with the answer you were seeking. Please let know

Hi @Swimming4ever - as @SunsetRunner says you can check in the app for updates but that feature is merely cosmetic.
It will always return your watch is up-to-date, regardless of any announcements of a new firmware unless you already have the announcement in the app that there is an update.
The best you can do is manually check your watch firmware version (in watch Settings, About Versa 3, System info menu) against the links posted by @MarreFitbit , then wait some days for it to appear for you if there is a newer version.

I would have to disagree @Guy_ On two occasions I have checked my firmware manually to discover I needed a firmware update on my Versa 2 without being prompted by an announcement on my Fitbit App or tracker. I use my Fitbit App daily so I would had clearly seen an announcement if one was made. I’m not fully on board with it being merely cosmetic. But with that said, as @Guy_ pointed out, the method he described and checking the links provided by the moderator is the best approach

@Swimming4ever The current version was released in Nov. 2021. There are rumors and leaked images of the Sense 2 and Versa 4. This is strictly a personal opinion, but I would be very surprised to see a Versa 3 update.

Sometimes a major update will be mentioned in blog.fitbit.com.
However I often see mention of updates through third party fitness blogs.

Considering the huge bugs and issues that are affecting Versa 3 (and its big brother Sense) since months, if not the release, without even an acknowledgement by Fitbit i consider the top of line devices by Fitbit at this point abandonware.
