Wifi Connection Issues

My Wife and I both got Versas, and we consistently run into an issue where the Wifi Hotspot (Asus 802.11ac) keeps dropping, and displaying Network is Unreachable in the app.

This even happens within 10 feet of the router.

Anyone have any ideas why this might be an issue?

I guess this device isn't supposed to connect using WiFi.  I am having the same issue even within 1-2 ft of the router with max signal strength.  Connecting with my iPhone as a HotSpot, I can get it to save the connection, but it doesn't connect, even though the iPhone sees it as connected to it's hotspot.

 

Not sure what crappy WiFi adapter is in this thing, but hopefully it can be fixed with a Firmware update -- and SOON.  They make the device require this crap to set it up, but then don't provide it so it's actually functional ???  I don't get it !!
