I have been reading the trials and tribulations of Fitbit users trying to transfer music to their Iconic devices using the horrible methodology Fitbit currently uses... I am wondering since the Versa is basically the same device but without built in GPS if it will use this same method?? I can't believe that you cannot transfer music from your phone. I would surmise that most people use their smartphone to track their Fitbit device...so why not use the smartphone to transfer music to the Versa/Iconic?? The restrictions of using a laptop..(most desktops don't have WIFI).. WIFI only, special windows app, just seems counterproductive.

Yep... I found the Versa Manual online and verified that is uses the same convoluted methodology.
While the Versa has some nice features, including a display that can be read in sunlight(unlike my Charge 2) I will wait and see if Fitbit eventually comes out with better method to transfer music.

@Buzzsaw Nice to see you here on the Versa board!
This is great feedback that is definitely being reviewed by our team. As you mentioned, since Versa is similar to Ionic it will also transfer music in the same way. For more details, you can follow our instructions in this article.

We really need you guys need to develop a very different solution for music transfer as the experience is very painful. It takes about 30 mins to read all of my playlists from iTunes on Mac. As well as the idea of transferring from your phone, could you not just allow users to drag files onto their device from the hard disk. Or, set up a separate folder on the hardisk which could act like a versa playlist?
