Will not sync in 2020

For this year so far, I have had to work extremely hard to get the app and my watch to recognize one another. The watch app updates eventually. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on myphone. I have unpaired and re paired .the app to the device. This is my second device. I've bought for my husband and both kids. I've recommended. At this point I'd do better with a tape measure and a 10 dollar timex. And when I need support, I can try to call or create an unwanted twitter account. So disappointed.

Have you restarted your watch/Bluetooth/phone? (Sometimes you have to do all three)

Thank you
Yes. That eventually works but in 5 years of owning a Fitbit, I haven't
had to repeatedly do it every single time I want to sync. The devices are
paired but cannot find one another.

Another way to fix it is to delete the device from your account and try to add it as a "new device"
