Yes, Alabama, there is a Restart function as well as a Factory Reset option easily invoked.

The thing is, the factory reset now has to be accessed through the watch's menu. The Ionic has a way of doing a factory reset just with the buttons.

The Ionic and Versa use the exact same Operating System--Fitbit OS2.

That's right, and yet, somehow Fitbit decided they didn't want us to factory reset the Versa with just the buttons.
Nevertheless, even if they have the same OS, there are some subtle differences. For example, the Versa shows this when you go to the power tray.
But those Icons are not there for the Ionic.

There is a way to reset the Versa to factory settings that's not described in the manual. Hold all three buttons down at the same time (the one on the left side and the two on the right). When the logo appears, release the bottom right button ONLY. Upon initialization, release the remaining two buttons. The reason I know this is because my watch became hung permanently in the installing mode and the Fitbit techs guided me through this process numerous times as a last resort to restore factory settings. But it didn't work for me because my watch remained frozen and I had to ship it back (thread below, my user name).

Thank you very much for that info, Ishrogh. I was not aware of that. I wonder why it is not in the User Manual? In any event, I don't like to recommend anything to anybody unless I have tried it myself. And I ain't going to do that unless I have to.

Are you absolutely sure that's a Versa? Because, as far as I understood, that only works for Ionic. Which was the whole point of this discussion.

Yes, the Versa too. My watch permanently hung on the installing process, regardless if I forced it off using two buttons or tried a manual factory reset using all three. I spoke with four different Fitbit tech people on three different continents (the woman in Columbia was the friendliest!) and each of them told me when nothing else worked to reset the Versa using the three buttons as a described above. I can't testify that it works because my issue couldn't be resolved and I had to ship the defective watch back to the fulfilment centre where I live here in Toronto. For what it's worth, all the technical people were dumbstruck that I couldn't reset the Versa to factory settings manually. I spent 3+ hours over two days before they finally issued me a shipping label and a return authorization form.

I contacted Fitbit Support and they confirmed that you can in fact do it manually with the three buttons. Said that it just takes longer for you to feel the vibration compared to the Ionic.
Thanks for all the info @Ishrogh!

There is indeed a factory reset built into the software. I'm doing it now as I'm returning my Versa and going back to my Apple Watch. Too many errors and glitches in the grand 3 days that I've had it. Fitbit has dropped the ball with this potential customer.
