I tried to remove and reboot. Now it can't find my Fitbit. It tells to go to the app,which I did, but it ran all night and then said it couldn't find the device.

Hi there!
Make sure youre Fitbit is set to the rigth time zone somtimes setting it to the time with you location causes an software issue just manually set the time zone then power off the watch and power it back on after 5 minutes then resync make sure Bluetooth is on and that youre close to the wifi router this should fix youre issue
