When my Surge wrist band broke, FitBit upgraded me to a Blaze with a replaceable wrist band and back then I required an XL wrist band. Well yesterday it broke. I've scoured the forum and see that FitBit no longer supports an XL wrist band, so I did the next best thing and tried a Versa in a Large wrist band. Well I got it on my wrist with only a couple of notches to spare and it was very uncomfortable and I sure as hell know I'd be breaking that one too if I did any sort of physical activity with it on.
I went through customer service and they could not provide me with any solution other than venting on this forum because apparently they can't talk to the powers that be, but somehow me posting on this community page will get me in direct contact with their Product Development Team to re-instate the XL wrist band....yeah like that makes so much sense??
Why is it that the people that need these products the most are being supported the least FitBit? I'm waving my frickin' money in the air and want to continue using a FitBit product but you done pulled the carpet from under me by no longer providing an XL wrist band. If it is a cost issue, could you not partner with a third party manufacturer to provide you with an XL wrist band for your product lines???
Has anyone seen an XL wrist band that will work on the Versa? Anyone??

Amazon or EBay would probably carry XL wrist bands and for much cheaper than you can find on the Fitbit site. Iv'e bought wrist bands from them for as little as $5 including postage.

Yes, the Best Buy sales rep also suggested looking online for an after market XL band for my Blaze. Unfortunately when I looked online I could not find any XL Bands for my Blaze.
When I contacted Fitbit their only solution was 25% off a Versa that wouldn't fit. It wasn't when I started looking for other options than Fitbit and started comparing them that I found out that some of the other models, specifically the Charge 2 was still available in an XL size. Now why didn't the Fitbit rep suggest that?
So I contacted Fitbit again and suggested that since they were having their Summer sale and were already giving a 25% discount on the Charge 2, that perhaps they could provide a credit for an additional XL band for a Charge 2 if I bought one to replace my Blaze. They agreed and once I ordered my Charge 2 with an XL band, they added an extra XL band at no extra cost....should have done that with my Blaze when I first bought it.
That being said, I'm still disappointed that Fitbit has done away with supporting XL bands in all their products...sorry but the Large doesn't cut it. I can only hope once my Charge 2 meets its demise that they will get back on track with their products and offer an XL band with their higher end products. We are talking about an inch and a half of material that they are excluding a large or should say extra large market of customers from patronizing their company. Whoever the person was on their production design team that decided doing away with the XL band, they least they could have done is partnered up with a third party wrist band maker to supply XL bands for those customers who require one.

A warm welcome to the Community @VinPro71 and @DramaQueenDiva thanks for the input.
Regarding your inquiry about the availability of extra large bands for Fitbit device. We no longer distribute extra large bands for the Fitbit Blaze and the Fitbit watches. In many cases, we found that large bands meet the needs of those who purchased extra large and allows for continued and comfortable use of the device.
You can always take a look at the XL and Larger Wristbands request and see what our team has planned for this.
Let me know if you need anything else.

If you had read my initial post, the Large band does not fit my wrist, hence the point of posting on this community for a return of the XL band. Your response was actually a slap in the face to a complaint / concern with Fitbit abandoning the XL band altogether by stating " In many cases, we found that large bands meet the needs of those who purchased extra large and allows for continued and comfortable use of the device.".....well this is NOT the case with me and several other people.
I tried on the Versa in a large and it barely fit my wrist and I can guarantee as heck that if I tried to work out with it I'd surely break it due to how snug it fit on my wrist. An inch and half of more material....is that just too much to ask for from Fitbit??? Honestly, what sort of cost savings are they getting by discontinuing an XL band from their inventory?? Fat people are people too, hence they need a EXTRA LARGE wrist band....again, why is Fitbit stopping supporting the people that need their product the most??? That is one question I'd love to pose to the powers that be. In this world of trying to not be exclusionary to people of color, culture, sexual preference, religion, and gender, etc.....it seems we continue to marginalize fat people!!
I won't just let your explanation go without comment. STOP using that blanket comment in your posts as I've seen it in others as well. IT IS NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM! Maybe to fix this problem fat people need to lose some weight? How the F@@@ are they suppose to do that when they can't even buy a product that will help them to do so?!?! If Fitbit isn't willing to support the return of a XL Band, then perhaps they should lift their patents on their wristbands to allow a manufacturer willing to make them for customers who need them. <end of rant>
