I initially thought that yoga is already built-in exercise that I can easily track using my fitbit versa.
If there's a way to enable this exercise would be a great help than manually log the activity.
Thanks for helping.

Go to the Fitbit app on your phone - click on the square in the top right corner and then click on Versa. Scroll down to click on Exercise Shortcuts. If 7 are listed, you need to delete one before you can add one. Click on Edit and remove one. Then click on +Exercise Shortcut to see the list of all the possible ones you can add - Yoga should be in that list. If 7 aren’t listed, you can just click on +Exercise Shortcut. I wish it was called Yoga/Tai Chi - I use it for my Tai Chi classes.

Hi - you can select specific exercise options in the app itself and then sync your Versa. I have yoga as one of my exercises -

That's right! You can add it in the app--you may just need to delete one of the existing exercises on your current list. The versa will only hold a maximum of 7 exercise shortcuts.

Where is edit? On my versa, it lists 7 auto recognized activities and you can change the amount of time, but not delete it to add something else....

I think you are in the wrong place. Open the Fitbit app. Click on the Versa icon in the top left corner. Scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts. Look for Edit - for me it is in the upper right corner. click on Edit. Delete an exercise you do not want. Then click on +Add Exercise and add what you want. You can only have a total of 7. Then reset your Versa by holding left button and bottom right button until you see Fitbit logo. See if that works.

The calorie counts are different for Tai Chi and Yoga.
If you want to add/record an exercise activity through the app, you can do that. Select "Tai chi" (lower case chi) and not Tai Chi as the exercise database has 0 calories for the Tai Chi entry.

Oh, thank you. However, I was manually entering Tai Chi on my Alta - I just looked at Tai Chi again - it says 108 calories for 30 minutes which is the same as the Exercise Shortcut for Yoga...

It must be like EPA Estimates...your mileage may vary.
I just looked at the manually logged entries I have in my app and I have two Tai Chi, one = 128 cal/30 min, one = 0 cal/30 min. Also two Yoga, one = 138 cal/30 min, one = 0cal/30 min. I always thought it the entries were downloaded from a Fitbit server using a publicly accessible database. Maybe it is personalized data based on the user's weight and heart rate (and ?). Another mystery.

I have an iPhone 7 - your phone might be different but here is how I do it on mine. Open the Fitbit app. In the top left corner, click on the icon of the Versa (or click on the square in the top right corner). You should then be at a page with your name and your devices. Click on Versa. Scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts. Click on that and it will show the 7 exercises you have listed. If the one you want is not listed, look for Edit and click on that. Delete one exercise. You can only have a total of 7. After you delete, click on +Exercise Shortcut and you will get a list of all the exercises you can add....since you can only have 7, you will have to delete as many as you need to in order to add the ones you want. I hope that helps, if not,let me know.

If you are using the Windows 10 App, click the icon that looks like an ID card in the lower right corner. That is the Account link. (Note: if you click on the "..." spot in the very lower right corner it will show the functions of those links) then you can pick up after where wtchambers said Open the App.
If you are using the old style dashboard, then click on the Gear icon in the upper right corner (near your picture) and select Versa, etc., etc.

Hi, I did exactly as you said and I was able to find the Exercise screen, and there are 7 auto recognized exercises that I can choose from to edit the time. However, there is no option to remove the exercise. I've tried swiping left/right, holding the exercise option but still nothing that allows me to edit the exercise.

My instructions are not for editing the exercise itself but for editing the list of 7 exercise names. I have an iPhone 7 and on the screen with the 7 listed exercises, the word Edit is in the top right corner. You should have the word Edit somewhere. You have to click on that. On my phone, when I click on that, there is a red minus sign next to each exercise name and if I click on one, it deletes the exercise name.
To edit or delete a specific exercise that you did (you mentioned editing the time), you have to go to Track Exercise (if you don’t have a Track Exercise tile on the main screen, click on the plus sign at the bottom of the main screen and you will see Track Exercise), click on the exercise you want to edit or delete, then in the top right corner of the screen, click on the 3 dots (for me, the dots are right under the battery icon) and you will have the option to edit or delete that exercise.
Hope this helps.

I have a Galaxy Note 8 and a fitbit versa. I was unable to delete preset exercises 😞 I walked through your instructions and when I went to "delete" the exercises it would only allow me to move the order of the preset exercises and thats it. Is there another way? I am wanting to add Yoga to my fitbit. When I was looking up new smartwatches I saw that this one could track Yoga and was the main reason I bought it. But if I am unable to track yoga I will find another smartwatch 😞

How to add Yoga on Versa
1. Open fitbit app
2. Right top corner ( round square icon )
3. Under Devices, CLICK Versa
4. You will see Sync then General, under general there is notifications, wifi setting, exercise shortcuts etc. CLICK exercise shortcuts
5. You will see 7 different exercises, swipe left to delete until you see the add icon(+) on right top corner.
6. Click the icon! And add yoga!
It took me forever to figure this out! Hope you can find it too and enjoy fitbit!!!

This worked!!! Thank you!!!! I did the steps exactly and worked perfectly 🙂 I was able to add yoga, walking and hiking! I had just been using "interval workout" for yoga then editing it in fitbit app and using "running" for hiking and walking and editing it in the fitbit app. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to my post 🙂
