no reply option for texts on fitbit versa

I recently purchased a fitbit versa and I set up the quick replies but I have not seen the option on my fitbit versa to reply. It only says open. Not sure if there is something else I need to do to get it to work.

Hi, as the name already states, the Versa gives you only the notification of a call, text or whatever.  It only tells you by notifying, that you got a call or text message.

so if it only gives you those 3 options then what is the point of the quick replies?

The point of quick replies is that your Versa does that automatically when you have set them up (BTW, this only accounts for apps). F.i. if you get a text message, you can set it up to something like "busy now , text back ASAP". Only you do not see that. Do not know, but might be a logical thing, whether your notification of getting a text message disappears after having send the quick reply.  You cannot answer calls on/with the Versa AFAIK cause it does not have a microphone.

Do you mean how to get a notification of a call or text on your Versa only, or on the Quick replies issue.

1. regarding notifications: go to the page were also the Clock Faces are shown, scroll down to notifications, click on it and enable whatever you want in the list.

2. regarding quick replies, these are only meant for apps, like texts, email, calendar events, etc. For each you can make your own quick reply. How to do that: once you have enabled several items in the notification list, go to quick replies and a list is shown of the enabled items. Press on one and type in a short reply text). For calls this is different, you cannot AFAIK answer to them via the Versa cause it has no microphone.

I am talking about quick replies I have set my responses but when a text
pops up on my versa it only says open or clear not reply.

As I mentioned before, this happens without your actual knowledge. Suggestion, I just read that in another topic, try the same whilst wearing wireless BT headphones and check if your reply is send by the Versa.

@bmccray33 @NicoleSnoke are you using iPhones? Quick reply is android only due to limitations set by apple.

I do have an android phone but I believe it may be because I do not have android 7.0 software on my phone I have 6.0
