Sadly, I've seen quite a few posts reporting this. It doesn't seem to be repairable and the advice seems to be to contact customer support via contact.fitbit.com They can check your warranty status and advise on your options.

They do have telephone and web chat support but those options only show on the contact page when they are staffed. If they're not there at the moment you could try again later.
