how do I find the battery strength

swipe from left to right.. meaning you want the screen to display info from left side of screens...
from home screen go to the left screen and you will see it

Another way is to install a watch face that shows the battery level along with the time.

Hi @anglanz what @Phamstagram360 explained was to swipe the watch face to the right to get to Quick Settings where the battery level is shown at the top.
Another way to see it is to sync with the Fitbit App by pulling down on the App screen and wait for the green status bar at the top to go all the way and say synced and the battery level is shown.
Or as @James291 says get a clock face which shows it permanently. Some clock faces, such as SimpleClockPro, will alert you on the watch when it is getting low so you won't miss when it really needs charging.
