Feedback on the preview

First of all, let me say what I like:

  • So happy to see way less of that ugly green color fitbit has always been. Please continue and get rid of the rest.
  • I think the new tabs at the bottom are great: "Today", "Fitness", "Sleep", "Health"
  • I like the top of the Today tab, especially that you are now having a WEEKLY cardio instead of just daily. I think weekly goals in general, make so much more sense.

Things I don't like so much:

  • After the metrics at the top of the Today tab, it's basically just a wall of text. Why? Put that somewhere else. Some of it is literally on other pages anyhow, like the sleep part.
  • Heart rate is way too buried now (unless you make it a metric at the top of today, but I want other things there. (Let me put important metrics on Today instead of all that text)
  • I'm glad the app is being redesigned. It so needs it but the stuff being concentrated on seems kind of silly. How about adding the ability to make more workout types than run, like for Elliptical, for example. Stop just jamming all activity types into a single distance. Let me see metrics on my activities over time. How about journaling and Insights. I mean the coach AI is okay I guess but no where near the top of my list as as the preview is today, I'd actually say it's in the way of the metrics I really want to see.
  • I have to dig and click more than ever to find a lot of the metrics I want to see.

I'm going to second this.  I enjoy the new direction with the widgets at the top of the today screen and that's about it.  I don't need a wall of text every time I open the app and have to go hunt for my data.  List all the current data on the today tab and if we tap into one of the categories then sure, give us some AI stuff, but I don't need it on my today screen.  Better yet just keep it all on a tab called Coach.

I do have to say, I do like the insights that are generated based on the activity I just did. I still want my today screen to have all my stats instead of a bunch of text and think those pieces of feedback should be in their own "coach" tab. Normally when I open the app I want to see my statics for the day. With the 'coach' sending notifications after your work outs I feel like that would easily drive people to the coach tab. Or like I said above when clicking on one of your stats then on that page having the coach information would be useful.
