I walk on a treadmill while working at my desk and my watch doesn't pick up my steps correctly because my wrists are resting on my desk. I've been manually entering my walks for years now by putting in the time and distance from the treadmill. The non-preview version would automatically calculate the steps based on my stride. When saving a walk now in the preview version, the steps never populate. I went back to the old version and edited the same activity and saved it and then the steps populated, so it seems to be an issue with the preview. This was on a Pixel 10 running Android 16 with Fitbit version 4.66.1.

Hello @fastest963
Thank you for sharing this feedback. The Public Preview is still very much a work-in-progress.
Although it's not ideal, please keep using the regular/old version to track your treadmill sessions so that you get your steps since that is working properly.
For now, please submit this issue using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app:
Although it's likely that you won't get a response, we've gotten confirmation that the team reviews every submitted feedback report and uses the information for issue investigation as well as improving the Public Preview version.
