The Versa 4 feels like a downgrade from my Versa Lite because there are no 3rd party apps. I used Starbucks and other apps often. Would also like to use Spotify app. Considering returning and posting to review sites so people are aware as they are purchasing your "upgraded" products.
"you can download 100's of apps" it won't surprise me if they receive a hefty fine for false advertising, it will teach them a lesson not to con it's customers again . I can't use my lucid dream app as it not supported but apparently I was lied to, really shoddy sales tactics
Had Fitbits for years, finally “upgraded” to the absolute rubbish that is Versa 4. Honestly, why have you taken one of the most used Apps in the world off? Bring Spotify back, your customers use it everyday!!
You are only pushing us away, you know this right??
I would not have purchased this watch I would have known Google was not going to take Fitbit seriously. I will not be purchasing Fitbit or Google products in the future if this is how Google is going to be serving the community.
I bought the Versa 4 on 12/27/2022. Upon setup, I downloaded the latest firmware, Fitbit app on my phone, and am running Android 12 on my phone. Through 12/28/2022, I was able to see third party apps in the Fitbit app. Then all of a sudden, all those apps were gone as of 12/29/2022... this with no software or firmware updates by Fitbit (at least, same version numbers as before)! How do they do this?
I don't have Google Pay or Google Maps, both of which were the basis of my purchase. Customer service says that Google Maps will appear in the app section, even prior to the next software/firmware udpate. But she was also dumbfounded as to how these updates occur with no change in version numbers.
Fitbit seems to be going downhill post Google acquisition? If Google's intention is to push the market towards Pixel Watch, why not just pull the plug completely from Fitbit, or at least, discontinue the "smartwatch" lines and keep the trackers? As is, this is a very poor mark on Google, not just Fitbit.
How does the Versa 4 not have Spotify?? I 'thought' I upgraded from the Versa 2. This isn't an upgrade at all and I'm quite disappointed to disrupt workouts to handle Spotify via the phone. I used to be able to set it down and control the music with the watch. Same with cooking and cleaning. I LOVED that feature and want to go back to my Versa 2 because of this. Please update the Versa 4 with the Spotify feature!!
I've got a new Versa 4 for XMas from my husband. One of the important things is to use while running to switch the music. But I am very disappointed to see, that Spotify is not supported. I think I will return it and buy the older Versa 3.
How has this not been done yet? This should be a priority. As a new Sense 2 user, the limitations are baffling. And this is coming from a person who was using the Inspire 2 before...
Please do better, Fitbit! 3rd party apps should be a no-brainer for these watches.
I was so excited to buy the versa 4. My wife has had the versa two for several years and I happy to finally jump on the band wagon. I was switching from the mi band 6 and looked forward to having smart watch features added to my band. I soon found out the versa 4 offered less features then my mi band 6 (which is over a year old). I returned my versa 4 and bought the galaxy 4 40mm smart watch with wear os for the same price. Battery life on the galaxy requires a daily charge but it's well worth it for the features it offers.
I'm a brand new Fitbit user, and bought a Versa 4 to replace my Wyze watch. I got ripped off! For $35, the Wyze watch was MORE capable! Your decision to make the Versa 4 less capable than the Versa 3 is deceptive and you can expect users to continue to be disappointed due to your false marketing of this product. I feel ripped off, and would like information on how to return this piece of garbage.
I’m really glad I got this at a steep discount rather than paying full price. The MSRP on the Sense 2 is higher than a new Apple Watch SE. The Sense 2 should not be marketed as a smart watch.
Please bring those apps to the versa 4. I was able to install maps, Alexa and some clock face but I ma still missing on a lot of other small tools. Like a calcul etc....
Thias a Christmas gift from my soupe a d I didn't use a fitbit before, I used other companies (some cheaper and some more expansive) with may be less hardware quality but better software. I taught fitbit would have bring better hardware AND software. Looks like it was the case in the past.
If they don't bring and communicate 3rd party apps, I will never recommend and purchase another's one.
It is important to allow third party apps for the Sense 3 and Versa 4. Not doing so has created animosity towards the Fitbit brand for all of us that expected this based on Fitbits advertising of 100s of apps for these watches.
This request shouldn't be hard to do for Fitbit- Google.
The sense 2 should not be classed as a smart watch, but a fitness tracker, it makes no sense for no third-party apps, and there's no justifiable reason that can be given to make it basic and less functional than the sense 1, but still increase its price tag.
Can't stress how disappointed I was when I saw this. Paying more than twice what a Charge 5 cost (sale at the time) the same functions is VERY disappointing. Even if they do bring back 3rd party apps and start activating some of the other locked features, the damage has been done by this company. I have bought a Sense to replace this tracker because it's all I could afford for a smart watch. To market this as anything but a fitness tracker is straight up lying and makes me question the ethics of whoever though this was a good idea. At the very least, it's false avertissement.
Very disappointed in buying Versa 4, it has not been stated on PDP that 3rd party apps would not be available, including Deezer that I use during training. No ETA/Timeline is provided by customer support
You guys go backwards - Deezer app was available on Versa 3 and not on Versa 4. Will be returning my purchase today
An update from the Fitbit team on whether third party app support is planned or shelved indefinitely would be greatly appreciated. I have multiple apps I paid for that I can't access with the newest version of Fitbits.
The longer we don't hear anything, the more likely I am to switch my entire family over to Garmin alternatives. I'd much prefer to stay in the Fitbit ecosystem, since the devices were great and third party app access would give me everything I need, but this current situation (and associated silence) reflects very poorly of Fitbit.
Fitbit support needs to update users on future plans for 3rd party apps to work on Sense 2 and Versa 4. These premium priced watches need to be an upgrade( not a downgrade) from previous versions.
@YojanaFitbit there are almost 1.000 votes (I call them complaints) in this thread. They must stand for many, many disappointed customers in the real world.
How much more does it take? When is Fitbit going to acknowledge that they made a mistake not adding 3th party apps to their new line of SMART watches?
