Restore the ability to install 3rd party apps on the Versa 4 as was possible in previous versions of the watch.

Completely agree! This is exactly how I feel! I upgraded to the Sense 2 and lost the ability to have apps! It’s ridiculously.

@YojanaFitbit Do you have ANY idea if/ when they will be adding 3rd party app support to the Sense 2?

I got lucky and found out that the Versa 4 didn't support third party apps and Google Assistant as I walked into the store to purchase one. I walked out with a Versa 3 and a newfound anger at Fitbit for making an inferior product for a higher price. This is such a terrible move and I hope they come to their senses and bring this feature back.

Perhaps fitbit is just preparing for launching the Google App store.

1200+ votes and numerous refunds, can we have some answers from fitbit?

I gave up and returned my Sense. I'm done with this kind of crap. I'm going back to my Charge 4 because it helps me track my sleep, but my watch is my old wristwatch. No apps, no charging, no bugs. Just a good all around watch for day to day use, and no disappointments.  Thanks to being repeatedly disappointed by this company and not being able to afford anything else.  I'm done with them.

Honestly, I've had my Fitbit sense 2 nearly two weeks now and I have regretted buying it. Even my old Samsung smart watch has more features than this. Your older models have 3rd party apps available. Why not your latest model? This is literally false advertisement and scamming customers. You're charging for the price of a smart watch and selling a simple fitness tracker. Absolute nonsense.

What's very clear to me is that Google taking over Fitbit means that all the technology will now be used to make the google pixel watches and the Fitbit watches will be made to slowly die out. Its ridiculous and actually disgusting.

I hope that Google/Fitbit come to their senses and immediately start enabling the use of 3rd party apps and other necessary features that a standard smartwatch at this price should and must have.

If this issue is not fixed soon, I will be returning my sense 2, I won't be purchasing from Fitbit again and will not recommend it to anyone, in fact if some one does ask me my opinion on the brand and its products, I will tell them to steer away from the idea of getting any Fitbit product and spending their hard earned money else where.

Gave up waiting for any solid response let lone action from Fitbit and have bought an Apple Watch. Very disappointing after 8 + years of loyal Fitbit use to have to give up and return the Versa 4 as a totally useless item of technology when compared to previous models.

Sent my Versa 4 back and got an Apple Watch. Sooo much happier. Just FYI, Fitbit makes you return it by a certain time but then they drag their feet on returning you your money. Luckily I used PayPal to pay for mine. I always do this with big purchases if the option is there and thank goodness I did! Fit bit had my watch for 3 weeks and not so much as a peep from them. Opened a claim with PayPal and got my money back in a week! Be careful out there people! Use that purchase protection if you have it and keep track of those tracking numbers.

I got my sense2 yesterday and find out it doesn’t support apps. The most expensive clock they have isn’t a smartwatch. I can’t return it because I got discount when my versa 2 have display problem with clock face inburn. Please Fitbit/Google allow integration again.

I have been watching this thread for a couple of weeks now, since I first posted.  I wish I could say I am astonished at the lack of meaningful responses from Fitbit (and its moderators), but I'm not. To me it is a sign of the decline that fitbit as brand is entering since google assimilated the company and I don't hold Fitbit as a company responsible but Goggle and it's Parent company. I have for a long time resisted Apple as a technology and remained loyal to Android.  I was in the market for a new phone and the Pixel 7 was a serious contender, but now I think it is time to move over completely to the Apple eco-system.

Received my Versa 4 yesterday and im extremely disappointed in the restraints you have placed on this new version.

The lack of even basic music controls are a gigantic oversight and the decision was clearly made by someone that doesnt use the product.

Fitbit you lied to us, FALSE ADVERTISING, why are there no third party apps?? not even a simple thing such as a calculator which I used in my everyday life! what a shame, it is disgusting that we are not getting a clear response from the fitbit developers but they are happy to accept our money for their falsely advertised watch. FIX UP!

I just received Versa 4, hoping I would be happy with my purchase. I chose the Versa 4 instead of an Apple watch due to its price point. I am delighted, no doubt, but it would be much better if Versa 4 could at least maintain the availability of third-party apps just as Versa 3. I’m still optimistic that Fitbit will release more firmware updates that will allow more third-party apps such as Spotify music control etc. Please, Fitbit, listen to your consumer requests.

Hi there, i'm here to add another layer of dissatisfaction... just received my versa 4 as a gift, and third app not supported, OMG. So its just not a smartwatch ! At least a health supertracker but at which price ???

I'm impress by all this customers who stay calm and polite but wtf fitbit please listen to your community and communicate on a date it will be available, you only have something to win with this decision... People will stop returning their product and see evolution in the sense 2 and versa 4 new version...

I was so excited to get my Sense 2. It was my first step into what I thought was the smartwatch world.

Severely disappointed.☹️ One of the few things I wanted in it was the ability to download apps. I can't even return the thing. Now I'm having to weigh up the very possible option of selling it on and getting a proper smart watch. How can a "smartwatch" not have 3rd party support!

When the latest model s a severe downgrade you know something is going severely wrong in a company. Please just give your customers i.e. the people who buy your products and keep you in business the simple thing that they already had, the freedom to download things we actually want to use our watches for!

P.S. the irony that while writing this my Fitbit asked me how I was feeling and the clearest option to choose was frustrated.

Got a Versa 4 and what a disappointment. Lack of apps and features is ridiculous for the newest model. Needless to say I'll be putting it back and won't be getting a fitbit again if this is what the latest technology is like - expensive pedometer

I can't believe that you guys are still ignoring your customers. I was about to pull the trigger on a Versa 4 until I saw this. Without 3rd party app support and Google Assistant, I rather buy a Xiaomi.

Shame, shame, shame. I don't think it makes sense to keep writing over and over again what others have written better before me. It's a shame for you and ignoring the customers won't help. I doubt that an ordinary customer will look for this poll/voting, he will rather return your device, buy another one from a competitor and never come back to you because of this shameful experience. So face it and bring back third party apps and voice (google) assistant.

still waiting on an update on this from any moderators.

Please can we have any update, you are still selling this watch as a smart watch and I bought it when it frost came out so wasn’t far off an Apple Watch price for as some people have said a watch face. Yes you see your heart rate and steps. Well done this is a feature some analogue watches do. Any chance of an app on this ‘smartwatch’ as quoted on your website still.

I have a smaller statement from fitbit twitter support. True, nothing we didn't know. And basically we have to do their work for them and ask to get the features we paid for with our own money.

So I guess the only way is to post a link to this forum for more people to vote. Here is a text from today's twitter communication.

"Hi, Petr. Thanks for bearing with us. We don't have an insight on your question about Versa 4's 3rd-party apps at the moment. Anyway, you may vote for this existing suggestion so we can track customers' interest: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/3rd-Party-Apps-on-Sense-2-and-Versa-4/idi-p/5248...."

"Sorry for the trouble. There are factors that influence how feature suggestions are prioritized and the statuses of each suggestions are dynamic and can change."

Thankyou @P3trZ for sharing this, so unprofessional of fitbit to not update their customers about this 3rd party app situation and leaving it up to the paying customers to deal with it and have to hassle them into some sort of answer, shocking!

@P3trZ thanks for the update, but what a joke.

This is the most voted topic that I could see. How many more votes do they need?
