Fitbit- Please deliver functionality to the Sense 2 and Versa 4 like music control, 3rd party apps, Google voice, etc.. equal or greater to Sense 1 and Versa 3.
Removing the wordage on the website only stops the bleeding. But does not "heal the injury". Fitbit need to add this functionality back to their latest incarnation of the Sense smartwatch.
I kind of feel cheated. And since, I've purchased mine overseas, I cannot return it for a refund now after arriving back to my home country.
My new Versa4 is disappointing without the ability to add apps. It is definitely a downgrade from the Versa 2. I wanted a smart watch and considering the price, I feel cheated into buying just a fitness tracker. Kicking myself for not going with Samsung!
How many upvotes and comments does Fitbit need to realize this was a huge mistake on their end? It's clear that the community wants and needs 3rd party apps again.
I'm not sure @RobDob22 but there sure are a ton of users here. To just bother to comment takes effort, imagine the number of users there really are that won't bother to comment or just don't know this board exists.
I am very disappointed in Google's purchase of this company. This company no longer has what I valued most, customer support and transparency. I will no longer be supporting this company nor will I be spending my money on a pixel watch.
I bought my Versa 4 last night and wanted to add the flash light and agenda app to my watch, but I can't find them. I searched online and couldn't figure out how to add these apps to my new watch. I spoke with customer support and they told me that the apps are only available on the Versa, Versa 2 and the Versa 3, but not on the Versa 4. I love the watch and how seamless it was to transfer the data from my old Versa to my new Versa 4, but I am deeply missing these two apps. Does anybody know if there is a 3rd party app to add these to my watch?
After using this watch for 3 weeks I'm actually really disappointed! This is definitely not a smartwatch, but instead it is a more exclusive fitbit tracker. For some stranger reasons fitbit decided to throw away a lot of good features from the previous sense like music, calender and some much more because this watch doest support any third part apps.. at all! They advertise this watch as a smartwatch with "hundreds of apps" (false advertising) but when a lot of customer's critized them for it they changed the wording on the website because, NO it doesn't not have a hundred of apps, not even close. As a customer you may think that this watch would be an upgrade from the fitbit sense considering it's called fitbit sense 2 but NOPE it definitely isn't. It's more like a downgrade then an upgrade, instead of having all the needed apps that you had on the fitbit sense they decided to take away a lot of stuff and just add the eda scan that I (and I'm being really honest!) only used ONCE and its so frikin annoying how it pops up and asks me how im feeling what feels like every 10 minutes!
Right now i feel like you'll have more features in the fitbit sense then the sense 2. Oh and the Google voice assistent... why on earth is it gone and replaced with Alex which is only supported in English. So to use it I have to change my watch to UK which means the whole watch transfer to being in english. Like what kind of ** is this.
It shouldn't even be called a "2" because it definitely isn't a upgrade of the former watch, its more like a downgrade!
Fitbit should definitely do something about this considering how much criticism the watch have gotten so far. Because this is awful!! And because of this, it makes me not wanna buy any fitbit or Google watch considering how the trick their customers 🤦🏻:female_sign:
I can’t even tell you how disappointed I am in the loss of features on the Versa 4. Had I known there would be no 3rd party apps AND you would take away other features, I would have saved my money and gone to another company.
Versa 4 is a downgrade from my Versa 2. Shame on you for releasing a new product like this and calling it an upgrade. This is crap! Give us back our 3rd party apps and add music controls for any app we use for music. Get it together FitBit and google or you will be losing customers. And his is ahead of the Pixel release. If we can’t trust you with the Fitbit, how can we trust your Pixel watch?
Till you provide the support for the third party applications that has been snatched away from longtime faithful Fitbit users like me, the least you could provide is at least
I'm a long-time iPhone user who has just switched to the Pixel 7 Pro, and I received a Versa 4 free with that phone. I was quite excited, as this was my first "smartwatch". However, learning that the device has been neutered, by design, is greatly disappointing and leaves a sour taste for both Fitbit and its parent, Google. There's a scale at which a company begins to compete with itself and its subsidiaries, and Google is clearly doing that here to promote its own competing brand. Ironically, it's having the opposite effect. I am now even less likely to purchase a competing Google watch in the future because of their actions here.
The lack of third-party apps on the latest iteration of Fitbits is one of the greatest mistakes you could make, and the way that this has been handled by changing the website's wording and pretending it didn't happen is unprofessional and sly. I have absolutely no doubt that this is an intentional software limitation and that it can indeed be resolved in a new OS release.
If this watch was not free, I would have already returned it.
Hard to believe that you put out a new version of a watch and you have limited capabilities, The lack of third-party apps is an insult to all individuals who enjoyed this punctuality.
I was just about to install the Spotify Connect app, which is a killer feature for me. Then I saw that 3rd-party apps are not supported on my Versa 4 (but on all previous versions!!) - this is just ridiculous! Please change that policy: roll back or move to something useful instead, this is just NOT what I expected and was promised!
I was thinking of upgrading to the new Sense 2, but since reading about it not supporting 3:rd party apps, I have chosen not to. I know I'm alone in doing like this...
I've been a long time supporter of fitbit and liked the availability of apps such as Starbucks and TRX. When this new Versa 4 came out, I would have assumed your company kept the consumer's needs in mind and grandfathered in ideas from the previous versions that worked. I do like some of the features of this new watch including an improved heart rate monitor and stand alone GPS. Keep the consumer's needs in mind and get this resolved. Thank you
