now its set up so that when i scroll right I get notifications and when i scroll left I get EDA scan, there should be the possibility to change the order in which they show up.

Hi guys,

New to my Fitbit 5. Not sure if I’m right but looks like I can’t change the order of the apps in my Fitbit 5.

I use it for sports everyday. Do I have to manually skip the notification app everyday of my life to get the the sports one?

It’s super annoying. It deserves a 1 star rating.

Agree totally that Exercise should be the first app when you swipe, just like the Charge 4.

I generally have no need to access the Notifications app, but I do elliptical workouts twice a day.

Please incorporate customization with the apps. I really only need to use the timer and it’s really frustrating to have to swipe so much to find it. Especially because swiping is not always accurate…

It’s just basics really, that’s all that’s being asked for.
the developers must be able to do this simply and add a basic ordering interface.
After all they are in some sort of order at the moment surely ?

Ability to reorder the apps to change what I see based on what I use the most.

Hi @BubbaJoey, thanks for sharing this suggestion about able to customize the order of the apps on your Charge 5 with us. It seems this idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. This will help us to make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Upvote; please allow users to unininstall the Notifications app, or at least move it to the bottom / end of the app selections. Simply disabling notifications is insufficient if I still need to swipe past the unused app every time I want to track an activity, use timers, etc.

I completely agree with this. It does the primary thing I would use
customizing the order to accomplish. That notification entry is an obstacle
to my getting going and quitting.--

It is sadly clear that since Fitbit sold out to Google they do not listen to actual customer feedback.  Everything is profit first.

Such an easy task to provide a selection of Apps and the order they appear isn’t difficult.

The IOS APP allows such to be undertaken so your dashboard is relevant to your needs.

The constant moderator, reviewed, need votes is just a stall and clear intention to ignore.

When will they realise that a large majority never visit the forums or raise concerns.  Instead they ditch or return the product and move to a competitor.

I know, Fitbit, you wont respond, why would you.  But it is sad you take customers for such a ride.

The lack of customization on this watch is a bad joke.

Why can  I not change the order of the apps?

Why can I not delete the apps Im not using?

Amazing tracker!

Main missing feature!

Change the order of the apps need to be implemented.

Customizing the order of the apps would be super helpful!  Even in just this comment section people seem to have different apps they use the most frequently.  The stopwatch is one of the apps I'd use the most both for my own workouts and when I'm coaching, and it's really hard to rush to time someone else when it takes me 6-7 swipes/taps on the screen to get there (or sometimes more because the screen isn't that sensitive and doesn't always pick up every swipe).

Just set up my new Charge 5, purchased to replace a charge 2 that would hold battery charge. Navigation on the charge 2 was so much easier. Missing some features I liked. I would like to change the order of apps, wish there was an altimeter. I’m kind of sorry that I didn’t realize these two features were not included, I would not have bought this tracker.

It is simply ridiculous.

Upgraded to the new Charge 5 despite the 2 still being very usable and easy to access.

Expected the new one to be better.  The color screen is great.

But really - No Floor count, Altimeter, no way to personalize the App order from the screen to the most used.

The transfer of daily heart rate and weight to the Apple Health system via the 3rd party App PowerSync now doesn't work.

Fitbit Blame PowerSync and vice versa.

The battery percentage doesn't auto-update on sync.  You have to close the APP and reopen - crazy.

We all put these comments on the community forum and to the Fitbit Tech help but nothing.  No help, support, or updates on when things may be sorted.

Again, we give Fitbit great knowledge and support and get absolutely zero back.

So come on prove me, the wrong moderator!!

Get the APIs sorted and integration and modification by user made available.  It was on previous watches.

This really needs to be implemented. I upgraded when the screen abruptly died on my Charge 3, and boy do I miss it. I primarily use my fitness tracker as...a fitness tracker. I want to be able to start a workout without scrolling by Notifications first. I was so disappointed to see the Charge line, which I have loved for years, essentially become a smart watch with fitness as an afterthought.

adding my vote for 1) choosing which apps are on the tracker  or, failing that, 2) having the option of reordering.  notifications is, at this point, totally useless to me.

Excellent suggestions. I whole heartedly agree. My poor right wrist is worn from a decade in the software development industry. It physically hurts to swipe through 3 extra screens I do not intend to use to get to my favorite apps.

So nothing done from FitBit?  Real encouraging.  I just got the Charge 5 and its the first thing I noticed.  I dont even pipe notifications through to this tiny device.  If Notifications are disabled, I should have to swipe to it/through it.  People bought this primarily as a fitness tracker.  Exercise should be the first thing you scroll to (just like on the previous 5 IONICS I owned (they all crapped out).  What is the hold up on getting it fixed?  This thread is like a black hole where complaints go to die.

YES PLEASE! Such a simple feature would make all the difference on my use. I use the timer and stopwatch an a couple dozen times every day. I actually almost returned the watch, because of this very reason (and the lack of a relax app).

I also think most of the apps should be able to be deleted as well. That coupled with the ability to move the main apps in any order would give the user the best and most flexible experience. I don't use notifications and would like to remove unwanted/unused apps; heck, even being able to hide them in a seldom used folder somewhere within the settings would be a big win.

Thank you.

It would be amazing if the developers could prioritize the feature of re-ordering apps. The two first apps you see when scrolling from the clock right or left are EDA Scan and Notifications, which are the most unused for most people that have an exercise tracker. If I wanted to see notifications first I would have bought a smart watch and not a FitBit charge..

I just registered to upvote this feature.

If I would knew about this UX flaw, I would re-think purchasing my Charge 5. Please prioritize this before I give up on this product.

I can't believe we have to ask for this feature. My charge 3 finally kicked the bucket so I upgraded to a charge 5. I was able to reorder the apps on the charge 3, and I'm beyond surprised that this isn't available on the charge 5. Not to mention, like SO many of the above comments, why would notifications come before exercise? Fitbit, you clearly don't understand your target market. Sure, maybe you're trying to expand your audience, but what are you? You're a fitness tracker company. So let us track fitness! Who cares about notifications! At the very least let us chose which apps are most important and relevant to our lives. Thank you.

Keep in mind that Fitbit is now an appendage of Google, which is far more
interested in tracking you than in you tracking your exercise.

Completely agree with all the previous comments. There needs to be the option to edit the order of apps so users can optimize their experience. The Charge 5 should lean into being a fitness watch. If I wanted a smart watch I would have bought some of the other Fitbit options...
