Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

Why did someone design the Verda 2 newest screens. They look like an elementary school students drawings.

I just updated the app tonight. Way different look. Lots to adjust to. Mainly missing the battery icon. It's really hard for me to see that on my tracker. Also, on the settings that I used to access from the top left, that has moved.  But there were things I can't find any longer. Hmm Trying to find the setting to reset my previously set goals was hard enough.

Agree with everything everyone has said here.

In summary,  the new version is horrible, boring, colourless and less functional. I HATE it.

I want the old version of the App back please.

I won't be buying another Fitbit when the one I have breaks down. Will look elsewhere.

Incredibly disappointing. Someone needs to be fired for this piece of rubbish App "downgrade".

Thanks for nothing Fitbit.

The new format is HORRIBLE.  I cannot see how many steps I have done thus far in the week.  I can only see each day.  I do not want to add up the daily figures myself.  The previous format was great.  Who decided to overthink and under deliver?  This is a step too far.  I have had a few devices fail on me but felt locked in.  Now you are giving me a door to open to other devices with a better interface.  Fix it.

I fully agree, why was this not beta tested?? It's a dreadful interface, not at all intuitive. Up to this point, updates have been easy to understand as they were an improvement

Did you give thisa a project to a group of 12 yr olds whose idea of exercise is walking to the fridge for another energy drink?

I don't need to be told how to achieve more steps!!!

Let's have the option to go back to the previous version, otherwise I'm off to find another maker.

Oh and how arrogant are the customer service people, like they know what's best and we are all ignoramuses 😡

Bad move Fitbit

Of course having tapped Try Fitbit Premium, I now have two subscriptions and it's impossible to cancel them.  Fitbit makes it very very difficult to get your money back.

I agree, I don’t like the new layout at all. It is all green (looks so boring), the icons are so minimalist that I can barely identify them, and it is not easy to find different functions nor to read metrics quickly. I liked the previous layout way better, it was not only beautiful, but all its colors and icons made it easy to read and to find quickly the metric I was looking for.

Well what a surprise!

Since b****ing here and at their customer service department my device has stopped syncing with the app on my phone....

Has anyone else experienced this ?

My iOS mobile app still syncs with my Charge 5, but I'm wondering if ANYONE at Fitbit monitors these comments.  Or even cares.

My guess is that we are stuck with his new, horrible design, and many will abandon Fitbit and move on to other devices.  And I hope they share their findings here on which is the best alternative fitness tracker.

Fitbit started out so well.  It's a shame Google is running it into the ground.

This latest is not only bland but has no battery level reading and more annoyingly the front page says 26705 steps CORRECT & 19.57 miles!!  INCORRECT but if I tap on the icon the correct mileage is there 12.16 miles

Why does front page say say 19.57 and furthermore last night i recorded the worst ever fitbit sleep which I am convinced is inaccurate and i go back to Charge 2 days thats how many years I have been with fitbit

Last nights sleep says 3h.49 minutes but score was described as "fair" Madness and I don't believe it is correct at all

I shall see what happens tonight but in the meantime i feel this update is a classic case of "If it isn't broken don't try and fix it"

Sadly unless there is an urgently needed fix for the bugs I will reluctantly go elsewhere and as an iPhone user maybe its time to seriously consider a switch

I'm feeling the same way (as another iPhone user).  Apple Watch was my second choice for a smartphone, but the frequent charging requirement was always a put-off.  But if Fitbit doesn't fix this awful interface, I'll make the switch.

Both me and my husband have Fitbits. Today, my husband’s Fitbit won’t even sync to this new supposedly updated app.   And to think I was the one that talked him into getting a Fitbit in the first place. He has not had his very long however, I have had mine since 2017.  Hoping that the Fitbit developers will get these issues resolved quickly. If not, we will certainly have to explore other products.

Previous changed color. New gives tiny check mark when you reach a goal.

I agree with everyone else, and the comments by Nymdok are spot on.  My biggest complaints are:

1. battery percentage is missing from the app.

2. I liked seeing "sync complete" on the sync line

3. I see less data on the screen, everything is too large

4. I hate the large + on the right side of the screen

5. I liked seeing the full sleep data on the home screen, now I have to drill down to see it

6. Health metrics...TMI on the home screen, I didn't mind drilling down because I want to see the numbers anyway, what is listed there is a waste of space

.Please fix this new and unimproved app!

Where has the sleep data gone. I used  to check the body temp and sleeping heart rate each night. The new layout is awful and please return to the previous layout.

The new app design is appalling! In addition to what everyone else has said, the sleep info is now 3 screens in. I want the old widget design for sleep back so I can see the details up front and not have to click into 3 screens. Bring back the old design!

I agree with everyone else who has said how horrible this new dashboard is. I want to see battery level, calories left for the day, how much wt lost, not how much I still need to lose, and labeled icons. Too hard to find anything!

1. I understand that whenever apps change, people complain - "not being the same' is disruptive, and usually users settle in over time. However, in this case - the new design is less informative and less efficient, requiring more clicks to get to the same info.

2. Since i haven't seen this detail mentioned, and it is my greatest 'loss' in the new app:  The zone display is now unfit for purpose.  Having to switch between each zone independently makes it impossible to understand how each of those elements interacts. Knowing you spent 4 minutes in zone X is minimally helpful, at best. Understanding when in your workout you moved from zone x to zone y and back provides useful feedback that can be used to manage workouts. Robbed of context, this is 'data' without conveying any 'information.'

The 4.00 update is horrible. Bring back the previous one that worked fine. No battery indicator, harder to get on a child’s account and just not nice in general.

Well mine won't sync now

Apart from it telling me how many calories I'm burning!

Really Fitbit need to take heed an revert back to the previous version 😡😡😡

Also doesn't show weekly step total anymore.  Only daily average.

Please return the old interface. Really don’t like the new one.

I also fully agree with all the comments. I really hate the new UI. The black and white components are boring, less clear and don't motivate me to track anything at all.

I also hate that when I reach a target or exercise hard, the app doesn't show it as success any longer (previously there was an "animation" on screen). Also when opening the statistics about exercise, the colours are again very boring and don't show the peak, fat burn, low intensity as clearly as before.

I contacted chat support to ask if it is possible to reverse to the old version  and I was disappointed that it is not possible.

Please allow users to reverse to the old version.

Exercise/activity summary?

As per other feedback above me inthe exercise /workout summar this feed the update is a big miss so far.

The exercise /workout summary is either gone or is not easy to find. It's where you could see on map how  many kilometers you went, where you went and gave you kilometers clicks to and from your travel so each km was marked. Also gave an easy reading of heart rate summary including average heart rate and top heart rate. Elevation gained and Lost summary. Average kilometers per hour including peak kilometer speed. It all appears to be gone and it was so convenient and user friendly. If it's there currently it's very difficult to find because I have not found it yet. In the new app update "video" it does show something similar for a couple seconds but it's nowhere to be found on the app. So far this new app is a step back instead of forward on what users appear to be wanting easy access to.

Disappointed. DZ

Update I found the exercise summary but it was awkward to find. Find it exercise days  then go to the specific day touch day and then from there it will have your list of workout(s).

Good to see the kept it good to see they kept it. One Note, kilometer markings is not on the map.
