Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

I’m officially switching to Garmin. It’s been a fun 10 year ride fitbit ✌🏼 hopefully you will see the outrage within your client community and switch the app back to normal. A heads up would have been nice too.

I totally agree! The update sucks! Not only can I not see all stats at once, but they’ve changed the order of my stats and apparently there is no way to change them back to the way I had them. This is probably the last straw for me with Fitbit. It’s about time to try a different fitness tracker.

The new app is not appealing. It lacks the data on the main screen that I use multiple times per day. I pay for premium due to health issues and it seems like now, Google doesn’t care about this product. I’ll switch to another brand if I have to but please, Google, don’t ruin Fitbit. So many of us depend on it.

Update is terrible!  Why is everything so big?  Are you designing for pre-K now?  I can't see anything without scrolling now.  I can't customize the screen, only delete items.  How do I put it back the way it was before?  Other platforms are easier to use - will have to look for different tracker if you don't put it back the way it was.

I dislike everything about the new update. Will be purchasing a Garmin and switching to their app.

THIS NEW APP is a step back in time.  Please reinstall old app.  This is awful!  woke up to this this morning. Didn't even know it was coming.

RIDICULOUS!

The new app has larger print and displays, this means that less information is seen by looking at the front page. I have the following issues:

1. Rediness score is at the top of the activity section. I use this once a day and would be happy to scroll down to it.
2. Activity is off the screen, and I look at this metric all the time...

The new app looks like it was designed by one of the kids on Bring Your Child to Work Day.

I hate it. At the very least give us back the battery level information!

The New App is AWFUL!!! Both functionally and the look, drab and lack of colours
Where are the Zone Minutes and Steps!!
Please give us the options, don't force us to do what you think we want...
If the app doesn't change, it is time to look at different companies for a fitness tracker.

Terrible update. Particularly hate the loss of maps for recent GPS assisted walks and runs....how can you possibly think removing them was a good idea?!

New format is horrible!!! More time required to get the info that used to be readily available. Lost the capability to format dashboard.  This is progress??!!

Fitbit has lost sight of who is the customer. Bring back the old format and trash the new. At the very least give us the option to keep what we like(d)

Bring back the previous version to caom your customers and fire the people that approved that change

A dashboard is made so we have an overview right away now we scroll and scroll and scroll thorugh empty space white space so much space is lost with nothing in it

This is graphic design 101 . Did you hire the kid of an executive that is in 3rd grade to this . The app look like year 2000 !! It is a disgrace . You certainly didnt do focus group with real customers

The new version is worse on all counts. 1. The old app had exact battery percentage the new one does not. 2. The number of step today is clear but starts as lower figure before it updates. 3. I want the number of steps done last week, but the new app just has averages per day. 4. Number of steps so far this week is tiny and does not update

Woke up today to see a completely different Fitbit face! Not happy! It looks like it was created without any planning, thought, or input from professionals. Children would have done better than this! First, we are forced to switch to Google, losing friends, challenges,  and groups for the most part and now this? You will lose customers at this rate. Please change it back to the previous with more colors and better visibility!

Completely agree! Not happy at all with this format!

Old App was far superior to what you have provided.  I want my historical data back.  You have eliminated the summary data for each week.  Example, you are only showing me how many steps I have taken each day but not summarizing where I am for the week so far.  I set a weekly target for myself and liked being able to see how many more steps I needed to get that week as well.  You have eliminated the historical data - before I could see how many steps I was taking each week historically and now you are only providing the AVERAGE steps per week.  I want to see how many TOTAL steps I have taken each week, not my average.

Like others have already said.  You took a great app and have totally destroyed it to a view that a child could have created.

HATE IT!!!!  I want the old version back.  I would have expected more from a powerhouse like Google.  You should be embarrassed.  Microsoft always provides the option to use the old or the new, why can't you do the same with this.

I am not keeping my fit bit if they don't reverse this immediately!  what a debacle!

A new design has been pushed to my Fitbit app this morning and it is aesthetically awful!  The flow of the design is horrible.  I was searching for a way to default back to the previous design and it doesn't seem possible.  The customer should have the option to stay with what works well for them.  The date is no longer on the page; it even displayed your picture if you wanted, etc.  Also the look and the flow of the apps stats is absolutely awful (just unaesthetically pleasing to the eye).  Is there ANY way Fitbit can bring back the previous design for this app, PLEASE?  Here is the image of the design I had and prefer.  Thank you!

It's just updated on my phone. Truly a backwards step. It seems like I can't even view my weekly steps in one easy place anymore, very disappointed.

My reply:

Good morning!
Per your email below, I'm not struggling with the app - I don't like the new display of the app.  No disrespect intended here, but it does looks like it could have been designed by a child.  I like the previous format that I had when I went to bed last night.  Waking up to this new app/design was definitely an unpleasant surprise.  Please give the customer the option to go with the new or stick with what they are used to.  Thank you!
