Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

Agreed!
I am highly disappointed in the new app!
I want to see how many days I have gone over 10,000 steps.

New update is SO hard to read! Bland colours, everything is different. I HATE it! There was nothing wrong with how it was!

New setup and virtually no colour is terrible, how do I go back to the old one. New setup/colour looks like my 6 year old grandson did it.

there is no way to change it back to the previous app. They just released it, so don't expect it to change quickly, if at all. Fitbit doesn't have to get our permission to change things. See Section 18 of the Terms of Service.

If they want to sell more devices to my family, they better start.

I've never posted on here before but I've been a FitBit user for some years.

This design is the epitome of UX people finding ways to justify a role by changing something that isn't broken. And making it much, much worse.

It's harder to look at, harder to understand, less informative. It pushes you down an artificial divide (suppose sleep AND fitness are equally important to me?). The bland uniformity of it is dull.

I'm sure you've spent money on this. Please don't let that be the reason you stick with it. Your users would all be happier if you rolled it back, kept interface improvements to small tweaks, and put more development effort into insight and features than throwing the visual baby out with the bathwater.

I don't think the Web API does colours. Are you sure you're posting in the right section?

Yeah already figured that out, good to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t like it.
Thank you for your reply.
Been using Fitbit since 2013, first time I have posted a query. I’ll just have to suck it up and put up with the new version.
Thank you for your reply.

Checking my Fitbit app today was a nasty surprise.  The “update” hurt my eyes to read. I’ll no longer be able to discretely check my app to add food info etc.  this is a horrendous interface.  I’ve held off switching to Apple Watch because I’ve used Fitbit since the beginning when it did integrate with apple’s apps.  But really?!??!  Was there no focus group to get feedback on this crapdate? It hurts to look at.  It’s awkward.  It no longer meets my needs.  Worse, it’s now a big problem that can only be solved by a reversal by Fitbit or switching to another fitness app.

I use my Fitbit daily and I hate the look of the features of the Fitbit app that has been streamlined. You guys need to fix it by putting it back to the way it looked before, otherwise you guys are going to lose a ton of business. I have to buy myself a new fitness tracker and I won’t be buying another Fitbit if this is what the new screen looks like plus I don’t like the fact that I cannot see where my battery percentage is at. The whole new look sucks! Change it back or Fitbit will lose a ton of customers and business.

I could not be less inspired by this boring, utterly lifeless design.
You took away all the good things and left us with the digital equivalent of a padded room. Completely sterile and designed to crush your spirit, not inspire you. Fix it! Fix it!! Fix it!!

That's obvious from looking at the new app. It looks like decor for a nursery.

What’s it matter, no one takes any notice of my single post in 10 years.
It would take 500,000 complaints before any one involved in R &D would reply.
But that’s life nowadays.

I agree with others - this is a step backwards; it almost has a 1990s feel to it. It's awful. The interface is too large, it lacks colour and depth. Give us the opportunity to revert to the last version.

I'm due to upgrade my fitnesss tracker and the look and feel of the app will influence my choice.  As it stands, Fitbit will not be a consideration.

I'm starting to think that they are well on their way to the 500K complaints, from what I see in the forums. I think that the general rule of thumb is "for every complaint that you hear about, there are at least 100 more." . Or maybe it was a thousand. I can't remember.

In 10 years of owning a Fitbit and going through numerous "improvements" this is by far the worst. The dullest, ugliest, least useful thing you could have done to it 😤

I can't find the maps, I can't find the battery percentage anywhere, I have to scroll and scroll for information instead of just Look, and the app looks like decor for a day care center for toddlers . . . .I'm sure I'll find more missing and screwed up in the next day or two.

What have they done!!!!!!!! Not only it is awful but from an accessibility perspective it’s terrible. I have eye problems and all these muted tones are incredibly hard to read. Fitbit is part of my daily life but I will seriously be looking at other options if this is here to stay

What have you done Fitbit? This update is awful…. I can see LESS info. Why would I want that? Please change it back….

Agree with the above - truly awful from a user interaction perspective. So much less visible on one screen, loads more scrolling, less well defined sections make it harder to see, some features missing or so well hidden they can't be found - eg. max heart rate during exercise, ability to edit exercise type, no battery percentage.

Horrible horrible. Like others, when my watch stops functioning I'll be moving elsewhere.

Where is the Step Streak Located? I Had 557 Straight Days Of About 16000 Steps Per Day. Where Is 558?

Fitbit have spent who knows how much on this awful redesign, but appear to spend no money on getting the basics right. First, after update, I lot of my historic data was lost, it didn't recognise that I had a premium account (I had to cancel it), then under Interval Training they still can't get the data for the 'move' and 'rest' periods correct.  Then they have the cheek to send out glossy ads for the new Charge 6, as though there is nothing wrong with their operation.  Very poor customer focus.

New App Update:

Average stepcount now totally inaccurate.

Previously zero step count days were not included in calculating the average step count for the week/month/year. Now they are included . The only way you get ZERO steps in a day is by not wearing the Fitbit or because the battery is dead . It’s pointless including the zero days as they are not a reflection of movement on those days.
Please change the algorithm back to ignoring “zero” days as it’s not helpful nor accurate to include days where I couldn’t charge my Fitbit.

I hate the new app. Less data and more scrolling. I’ve loved Fitbit and have stats back to 2015. I’ve looked at Garmin and Apple Watch but always chose Fitbit because of the ease of use of the app and presentation of data. I pay for premium so I have detailed sleep scores. My Fitbit sense did not pick up a extended period of atrial fibrillation and despite this I still didn’t switch to Apple!  This new app is probably the reason I’ll switch as my long term relationship’ with Fitbit has gone. The loyalty was to what I knew. If I have to learn to use something then it might as well be Apple.
