Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

My Apple Watch platform is now my preferred platform. Fitbit looks like it was designed for a Kindergarten student. I’m very unhappy with it.

The update simply is not.

How do I return to the old faithful where I can see what I need to without having to scroll a mile?

I cannot see the amount of charge in my device using the new app and I cannot find the route history of walks that I have taken in various places around the world. Where can I find this 'lost' functionality? If the functionality mentioned is actually lost, how can users revert to the previous version of the app?

Absolutely agree! The new app is dreadful - lost functionality - no % battery display and loss of exercise history with maps.

Hate the new version of the app.  Why change it.  Give us the option of going back to the old version.  If not, I will be looking for a fitness tracker.

Who thought the new design was good idea? The new app totally sucks. It's hard to read. It doesn't display all of the needed information. If there was ever another reason to dump Fitbit and move to Apple--it's this!

My Fitbit Charge 5 broke two weeks ago, before I had updated the app.  I borrowed my son's old Fitbit 4 and once I saw the "new" poorly designed app I have decided the switch to an Apple watch after being a Fitbit member for 10 years.

After seeing all of these negative comments I'm going to SHORT Sell Fitbit stock, I might as well make some money from someone's poor decisions.

Awful update.  Come on Google, don't release something as "new" when it has degraded functionality from before.  Also completely unimpressed that the iOS and Android "new" apps are different.  Shocking engineering quality control.

Looks like Fitbit has blocked ratings on Google Play. I can rate other apps, but not Fitbit. Probably a disaster management strategy in response to the overwhelmingly negative feedback.

I've followed the video and reinstalled the older version. It wasn't until I logged into my online account that I realised it was not logging my manually entered exercise. Bit annoying, but rectified and all up to date now. Thank you

That's fine, take your negative reviews to Amazon and review your model with the full details of the issue. I don't think Google can block Amazon reviews 🙂

Good advice about adding reviews to Amazon - will do! Wish I could restore the previous version of the app. I contacted Fitbit via their online chat and the chatbot said that it wasn't possible. However, someone mentioned reinstalling the previous version by following a video. Can the link to the video be shared?

This new layout for your workouts is awful!. There is no easy way to compare my workouts any longer and it shows less information than it used to. Not to mention the color scheme is really bad because the colors are so close that it's hard to tell which zone you are in. This really needs to be fixed. How can I change back to the old way?

It looks like Harold and the purple crayon, but with a blue crayon.....

Yes, agree with you. Hopefully there will be enough complaints about this
to change it back but I doubt it!

Remember how awful "New Coke" was? The new FitBit app is even WORSE! It's hideous, clunky, hard to use, and just plain gruesome. I think it's the worst design of any app I've ever used. Today, I will shop for a new device and leave FitBit behind. Ugh. They took a beautiful design and destroyed it.

Map my Walk is a useful app and the Samsung Smart Watch app seems to have a lot of functionality and is getting better reviews than Fitbit. Any other suggestions for better alternatives to Fitbit?

It's literally the worst design I've ever seen on any app. It's so awful, I'm going to find a new tracker from a different company.

The new app is awful! The change makes it difficult to find things; I now scroll and scroll to find what I am looking for instead of it being right there. When I click on the app it keeps lagging and not updating the info; I've been awake for hours now and it won't/can't update my sleep info. The app is to busy and convoluted now.

Skippy1968 What video? Will you please share if there is a way to return to the previous app?

Does anyone know if there's a way to go back to the previous dashboard?

There was no need to change the names of the zones and the way information was displayed. It's just confusing now. I liked to see that actual pace on the map, not just the relative. I"m not sure what it means now with light, moderate, vigorous and peak. All these changes were very poorly rolled out and just dumped on users.

The "new and improved" Fitbit app is just a copy of GoogleFit. Go take a look at it!  Such a lazy move.

I truly hate the new app.  The previous version displayed more information in less space.  The new app required you to scroll many times to see some data.  The new app does not show some of the data available previously.  I like to see my restoration graph in the sleep data.  The restoration graph is no longer available as of today.

Fitbit has been a disappointment with the Sense model.  Extremely weak vibration has been ignored by the company.

The horrible new app is pushing me closer to going iWatch sooner that planned.  The only advantage I see for the Fitbit Sense over the iWatch is battery life.  The Fitbit Sense and the new app are failures in the other comparisons.

Frankly, I feel that constructive comments and suggestions to Fitbit are 100% ignored.  Arrogance by the company is the way to lead to its collapse and failure.  Listen to your customers.  They know what they want.
