Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

Previously I could see my activities with useful graphs on ONE screen and I could easily scroll down to the rest of the week, in a format that was concise and informative. Now it gives me the calories and time for my LAST activity. And if it is a walk the step count is totally inaccurate. The upgrade has made the app useless.

Nobody likes 4.0 and fitbit don't care.

The new redesign is very very depressing, I can’t get the steps to be first on the screen but then the screen is so bad anyway I doubt I will use it much. Wish I had not switched to google, it’s just not user friendly.

Despise the App update from an aesthetic and functional perspective. Gutted. Please bring back old UI. Colour!

I agree. I reached out to customer services to see if there was a way to revert to the previous app or where to provide feedback and was directed here. I hope they change back or rethink the new design. I’ve been very happy with Fitbit until this point and am considering shopping around due to this app update.

The positive motivational impact of seeing those circles fill in when the goal is reached can not be overstated. I realize now how much I appreciated that now that it is gone. That teeny checkmark in the new app is way too small.

Please restore the battery display in the iOS app. I love my Charge 4, but not this part of the update!

If it's not broken why fix it?

- The colour new colour scheme is none existent and is one colour. When looking at the app there is no separation of sections and your eyes have to search compared to the previous version your eyes would track to the section.

- The icons are not consistent with the Fitbit tracker, watch etc

- Unable to organise the tile in the order that you want it

I do realise that Google has bought Fitbit but Google did not have to change the way it looks, one of the reasons why the consumers buy the Fitbit device is they liked the colour scheme, icons and the way it was laid out.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Fitbit market share decreased from 3% to lower.

Please change it back or I might have to go to Garmin

I don't understand why each of the boxes is so big, which requires extra scrolling.

Why are the colours so limited and undistiguishable?

Why do walks no longer include a step count?

Why is my hourly activity always 0 of 0?

I have found a really nice Garmin and Samsung has a great mobile app. Will give Fitbit 1 week to improve the app or I will switch.

Absolutely perfect description of my frustration with this new updated app.

I agree with all of these posts. This is a terrible and confusing layout. Please have an option to go back to the previous format. It was one of the reasons I've stayed with Fitbit so long and didn't move to other products. I'm seriously rethinking about why I would want to stay with Fitbit.

I hate it too. It is too large for one thing and I have terrible vision but it’s too large even for me.  And who wants their weight to be in huge numbers for everybody to see?  I now have to scroll so much just to get to the basics. It used to be just one scroll to get to everything. I would love the old version back.

The app update sucks because it removes the gameification of tracking stats. It is visually boring with bland colours. Hard to see stats at a glance and difficult to find info that used to be available with one tap. I miss the bold colours and little emojis. This app is too minimalistic and has lost functionality in the redesign.

Please. This is so ugly and dull. I check fitbit all day while busy doing housework gardening running errands. Graphics show how close I am to goals. They were cheerful and informative. I felt like I was part of a healthy group all striving in our own way. This looks like I am alone in a box in the basement.

I really do not like the new app design!  It is hard to read and clumsy in design.  Also, please put back the battery percentage as this was very important to me!  Seems like regression, not progression!!

The new app sucks! I think Google is downgrading Fitbit to push their pixel watch

Well, I will start looking at Garmin and , god forbid, Apple.

The obvious is not color, the layout and the stats are horrible, I care more about the actual daily numbers than the average per week, which by the way are not obvious

Totally disappointed

Why did you take a great app and make it terrible. Awful graphics, no battery %. Please return to your former format, you’ve ruined a good product.

The new update is very bland and very difficult to navigate around. I know that I will stop bothering to use this as it is so bad. I can't even see the battery life on this one! I need to use a tracker for my health and if the current display does not change, I will have to find a different brand. Why change something that was so good before?

After the upgrade my premium account was not recognised. I went to cancel it but not before paying out for the month following the upgrade.  I asked for a refund of this month's subscription.  Here is Fitbit's reply:

"I hope this email finds you well.  I'm writing to you today to follow up on your recent inquiry about a refund for your Fitbit Premium subscription.  I understand that you are requesting a refund because you are no longer using the service. However, I'm sorry to inform you that we do not offer refunds for Fitbit Premium subscriptions.  Our terms of service state that all subscriptions are non-refundable. This is because we offer a free trial period so that you can try the service before you commit to a subscription.  I understand that this may be disappointing, but I hope you understand our policy."

Disappointing is an understatement
