Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

Seeing which exercise sessions were mapped at the list level was useful.  Now, the only way to find a mapped exercise session is hope you remember the approximate date that it occurred and then drill down through the layers to get to that date and just open each session until you stumble across the right one.  You can't even just scroll down through the list of all recorded exercise sessions because they are now grouped by month and by week, so you only see on a monthly calendar which days you exercised, and then for each week how many types of exercise you did during that week.  It's not until you select a specific week that you see what type of exercise each session was, so if you guess wrong on the date you have to back up and take another stab at it.  VERY cumbersome and time consuming and NOT AT ALL user friendly.

Completely agree with this, my wife and I are both longtime Fitbit users, neither of us find the changes positive. Bring back the old App! As users are being seemingly ignored we will both be looking at alternatives.  Really disappointed that something I’ve come to rely on has been reduced to this.

Back to basic. I dont want smart watch but health tracking wareable. Flex2 was amazing slim wristband if you can make a new product that has all latest sleep monitor sports monitor and heart checking without display that battery last for weeks. Thats the future for fitbit.
Dont try compit with smart watch. I prob go with apple watch then

1,000% agree. I hate the new look. I haven't used my app at all since it rolled out. I like the old colors because it kept my ADHD brain focused on the information. Now it feels like I have to hunt for what I'm looking for and struggle to visualize it.

Everything is off in the app, the sleep, and I had to restart several times
because it wouldn't sync. Why is Google doing this to us?

I absolutely agree. I'm shocked that such an update has made it through to release. Shouldn't an app designed (you would hope) to motivate the user to get involved with data and take action to improve it be somewhat inviting? I don't think I could dream up a less inspiring colour scheme. It's actually so depressingly dull I don't want to look at it all. Please put some colour and vibrancy back in - make me want to look at my stats. I also agree with other comments about battery level info not being at the forefront etc.

Interesting that the only colour to note is in the ad for Premium. Doesn't that tell you that to grab attention some colour is needed. Make that nearly monochrome and see how that works out!

Very disappointed in the new update on the app.  Need to be able to see steps when exercising, and see battery percentage!!   Major failure!

Absolutely agree. Moreover, I used A LOT the weekly stats with weekly amount of steps done/Km done, and now there's only *an average*? WE WANT DATA, not averages! Bring back the old app. I bought a Sense 2 in spring, and now I'm seriously thinking about switching to something else, a Garmin? A Suunto? Everything but *not this*. BIG FAIL.

My Versa 3 would not synch with the new version of the app. After trouble shooting multiple times. I removed the device and have not been able to complete a setup to pair and reconnect  with the app. It gets stuck after putting in the code for pairing. And then gives an error message an abort option. Disappointed.

I don't know what else you want from us. Google, stop hiding behind the "fitbit" name. We all know it's you. Let me spell it out to you, there is a reason why Fitbit User's went with Fitbit Instead of apple or the pixel. Your product was and continues to be garbage. You bought this company just for the technology, and now you are sending this software to your google graveyard. FitBit had a marvelous app that was catered to their users. The colors, icons, everything was terrific. Now you come in here and want feedback?? Use your money and compare the old Fitbit app to the garbage you have provided us with. Revert back to the old Fitbit. Why do you have to ruin something that was working and was absolutely fantastic.

Just so google knows, I refuse to buy a Pixel watch or any Google Product because this is what you do. You destroy. My next option is to CONSIDER an apple watch but even then, I may not even buy a watch because I don't want to give any other company my money. I terribly miss the old Fitbit App and will vehemently refuse to anything Google makes.

What a shame that the stars and flashes no longer appear when your daily goals are met. The new app has lost them! Such a shame as they’re were a definite incentive !

Completely agree! The new app design is ugly! I thought I had opened the wrong app the first time I saw it! It is very unengaging and I really miss the old design. It had colour and was nice to look at! To be honest I haven't been using the app since! Very disappointed,  please bring either the old design back or something close to it. There's always grounds for improving things and progressing things (although I don't see what needed such a massive change here) but make it better! Not worse!

I don't like the Google branded dashboard, why is there no option to keep original Fitbit. If we have to have Google I will be looking at other fitness watches.

I now realize that this new version must not be noting my proper Heart rate! On the previous version my resting HR varied every day from 54 to 59, depending on how good of a week I'd had. Since the Update my resting HR has been 62. Every  single  day- no variation in the past month.  Not feasible that I've had the same exact resting HR (especially traveling and having a varied schedule)-I just don't believe it. I was thinking, well I am aging, but still-exact resting HR every day? I now don't trust it. Hoping my family looks at my Christmas list 🙂 for my new G****n.

How do I go back to the previous fitbit display? Do not like the new display. It's grey & white & has NO color. It's boring. Is it true that to continue using Fitbit customers have-to give Google their personal information? I will not give google my personal info (fitbit profile). If so, I'll switch to another type of device. thank you.  Meantime, is there a way to get color back to the screen & how to check battery without having to push another button? EVEN when you push another button to see battery, it only shows a picture, not the exact % of battery charge.  WHAT THE HECK?

The new version has more removals than any other update I've ever encountered. After looking at the forum, Im not alone finding the removals frustrating and missed. Battery percentage, sleep & activity breakdown visuals and the smaller more colourful icons. BRING BACK the older one or give us a choice to go back!

Apparently Google/Fitbit has seen enough negative impact that they are bringing back some of the features of the old app, not the old app, but some of the features they removed.

Well, this is nice to hear.  Except, I've already jumped ship.  I'm loving my new G****n.  There was a learning curve.  But, I'm finding it to be more accurate than my Charge 5 was and I love the fact that I can connect a strap heart rate monitor to it when I hit the treadmill.  None of my Fitbits have ever been able to track my heart rate when it goes up, so I've had to use a HR strap with another app.  The SpO2 monitor on my new tracker shows my oxygen levels going lower at night than the Fitbit did, which I suspected was happening.  I have a history of pulmonary emboli which stressed my heart, so these features are very important to me and the reason I bought a Fitbit to begin with.  (I've had 3 of them since 2016.)

Sorry folks, I suspect she is a bot.

Glad to hear, that maybe Google is listening and readding some usability to there Atari Esk app. I doubt, I will ever use another fitbit, sad after almost 20 years with Fitbit products. That their destroying a metaphorical friend, has come to this. But yeah they just don't care about those Neurodivergent and or Chronically ill users.

Sorry, but this is a lame response to the current updated version. The
link doesn't address any of the features that were taken away with the
update.

My heart rate has also stayed the same for days and it is higher than usual. It used to vary from day to day.

Accuracy of data is an issue and has been specifically with some devices.
I don't know what the margin of error is or what would be deemed
acceptable.
The relationship is not linear. In my experience it appears that is is
accurate at resting and lower heart rates. I have compared this with an
oximeter which became very popular during covid . Above 130 BPM it appears
that there are discrepancies.

The new app is not great. It’s pretty miserable to look at, with a lazy mash-up of old and new styles. I miss the old one!
When my current Fitbit dies I’ll probably move to Apple Watch.
