Please enable Connected GPS option on Versa 3, in addition to Buillt-in GPS.
This is needed because:
An option to use Connected GPS on Versa 3, when a mobile device is near by, will help maximize battery life when using an exercise activity, e.g. walking, cycling, etc.
@Guy_You are right. I could. But it shouldn't be the only option. Versa 3 and Sense are OS 5.0. The should be easily add this feature to have and hold more happy customers and Fitbit-friends.
Totally agree this needs to be added. Fed up of losing GPS connection during exercise and it not reconnecting until I stop the activity and start a new one. This used to happen with the rubbish Samsung Active watches I had and I thought this was going to be better.
Got the Versa 3 for cheap through my health insurance. I will sell it again (refund impossible) because of this. I can't rely on the built-in GPS because of the battery drain and GPS tracking quality.
It's disappointing that this isn't implemented - it worked for the Charge 4 I had before.
The irony is the device is reading the GPS data from the smartphone (iPhone):
Install on the Sense the GpsSpeed app and you can select to use the Sense internal sensor or the smartphone’s one. And the second one is probably retrieved from the standard data transfer. Almost like Fitbit intentionally crippled battery life on some devices… maybe to claim later the (re)activation of GPS data from the smartphone as a customer centric feature?
