Add Friends using a QR Code

Each user would have a unique in-app QR code that's associated with their Fitbit profile. If another Fitbit user scans that QR code using the Fitbit App, they will automatically become friends on Fitbit.

This would be A great idea having the app generate it.

This would  be cool, but even cooler might be to use NFC and "bump" phones.

I already tap the phone to the tracker and let the NFC start a sync, why not have the ability to tap your phone to your friends Fitbit, and let the app ask if you want to add the owner of the tracker as a friend.

That's a really good idea. I hope the mods see this. 😉

This is where the developers look, we just need to get more votes, 23 probably won't be enough.

This would make it way easier to add a friend and you can make sure that you're not sending a friend request to incorrect users. Thanks for sharing such great idea!

I agree, this is so much less of a hastle for finding random friends. It definitely feels like a safer way to befriend people and start new relationships.
