Add Halifax bank (UK) to Fitbit pay

When is Fitbit going to expand the list of approved UK banks for the Wallet app?

US and Australian users have a huge choice of banks including national banks and credit cards like American Express, but the UK have a choice of four.

I was so excited to use my watch for payment, but I cant unless I chose to move to an obscure bank.

The approved four are: Boon. (Never heard of that), Danske (no idea), Santander and Starling (another I've never heard of). Aside from Santander, none of these are major banks.

Any chance UK users could get a better selection? Natwest, HSBC, Lloyds, Halifax??

After a few discussions and jumping through some hoops - at least they have agreed to replace my Fitbit - as it didn’t last a year. I do agree that they are very expensive as my precious Fitbit only lasted 2 years - so not worth £100 per year! When this replacement breaks down - I will definitely just get a cheap one from Amazon! If a £30 smart watch lasts only 6 months - it’ll still be cheaper than one Fitbit lasting 2 years!

Can we PLEASE add halifax to the supported banks for fitbit pay .... I even opened a curve account and added it to my Samsung pay as it said curve was compatible with fitbit pay ... it is not 😭 I would love a response on if it is in the pipeline or not as I am a bit concerned this thread has been going since 2019.

Got my fitbit charge 5 today and absolutely love it but why can I not add my halifax debit card to pay for stuff as this was one of the reasons I bought it as it makes things easier when I'm out for a run and don't need to cart my phone along with me?

Honestly never going to happen. I've had a fitbit versa 2 for a good few years now and I bought it thinking I could do the same. My advice , send it back. Once my versa goes I'll buy a proper smart watch that will do the fitness stuff I need it to do and be able to use Google pay etc. Sorry but it's obviously something to do with the bank in question and fitbit politics/security. I emailed several times just to get the standard we're looking into it email reply

Has there been any update on this? Seems to have been going on a few years now?

One of the reasons I opted for this was the contactless pay option

Hello
You are still unable to use Fitpay with the Halifax bank.
Unfortunately I can not see this changing any time soon.

I got a refund for my sense due to it burning my arm, I now have an Apple Watch series 7 and it does exactly what it says it does no jumping through hoops and begging for the features to be added, I won’t but Fitbit again but the customer service was good when getting my refund they kept me updated all the way to the money ending in my PayPal account

How is this thread 3 years old and still the amount of UK banks remains unchanged, just got a versa 4 for Xmas and I can't use contactless because I'm with Halifax absolute joke.

I would firstly love to see Halifax added to the Wallet section. Secondly it seems a pointless action of being able to pair my bluetooth headphones. Then when I've selected Spotify in the app it automatically plays it through my phone. I discovered that the only way around this was to pair the headphones to my phone and control Spotify from my watch. Not ideal when I use the watch in the gym.

Thirdly it seems daft to charge for a premium amount for a subscription that doesn't do alot. Or at least worth the money for it. Hugely disappointed in the £100 I spent on this watch.
