Add Lloyds bank to UK Fitbit pay

More bank compatibility for uk Fitbit pay versa users. So far Fitbit pay is not connected to any major banks in the UK. The very few that fit bit pay is connected to I’ve never even heard of. So as a UK versa owner I have the special edition and can’t use the very feature that separates it from the the normal versa.

is Fitbit pay going to compatible with the major banks in the UK like Barclays, Lloyds, Santander, HSBC, NatWest, TSB, Metro Bank, Halifax, Royal Bank of Scotland etc and also I haven’t seen any where (shops) that accepts Fitbit pay yet.

Yes to Lloyds! Disappointing getting a Versa and then not being able to use Fitbit Pay....

If the option is available to sell this item in the UK then you should be able to use major banks card Via Fitbit pay. Sort it out Fitbit.......

Moderator: please stop insisting that people produce a new sub for each bank. People are not inclined to click each one and many bank with more than 1 provider - those listed at the top of this thread are the major UK banks which should be supported. I personally use NatWest, HSBC and the more obscure Monzo and Handelsbanken. While the latter is not even supported on Apple Pay - the first three certainly are! Fitbit Pay has been available far too long for excuses about the current options.

Please can we add more major UK banks onto the Fitbit pay you say that more will be added but since November not a single bank has been added for the UK I am with Lloyd’s and bought the charge 3 so I can pay contactless but am not able to use this feature

Hi  @Crazycraig, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. Don't forget to add your vote!

The UK is poorly served in Fitbit Pay when compared to other countries. The main merchant acquirers are simply not integrated and it is an easy API through SDKs to resolve.

I refuse to open a Santander account simply to use my watch.

Please consider

AMEX

LLOYDS

HALIFAX

BARCLAYCARD

NAT WEST

HSBC

FIRST DIRECT

METRO

PAYPAL

GOOGLE PAY

SAMSUNG PAY

Contact less is a big thing in the UK now with some merchants stopping taking cash! We simply need more options this side of the pond

Please add support for TSB Bank(UK) to Fitbit Pay.

I strongly agree with the above but it seems to me that Fitbit are not listening. The Versa and now the Charge 3 plus I think the Versa lite all have the capability of wallet pay but it doesn't seem to be happening. This should have been established with all the major banks before the Versa was released. What is the point of having a function on a smart watch that doesn't work? Can Fitbit explain what the hold up is? and when is it going to be sorted out?

Completely agree
It is also very misleading in their marketing so could come under the sale
of goods act.
Fitbit Pay is woefully short of expectations being set to UK customers

Has anybody had a direct response from Fitbit and not just the moderators suggesting moving the posts as this subject has already been covered. Or vote for this post what does that exactly do?

I've tried but they are allusive and just batted me off with this forum

I'm not quite sure why we have a forum if Fitbit doesn't respond to questions that are important to the functionality of the Versa.

It seems to me that we don't have a voice. As they sell Fitbit trackers worldwide why are they only servicing their own country?

They say that, in space, no one can hear you scream......

That seems to be true on Earth!!

I’m using a charge 3 special edition, please add Lloyd’s bank and Monzo to Fitbit pay.

Is it really taking you 18months already to add that in ?

Is there any progress update ?

Please speak to Fitbit, it isn't my job to get it done, theirs but yes,
incredibly slow to respond and these community posts are being ignored.

Standard response from Fitbit is that it’s up to the individuals financial organisations to enable the payment method on their systems.  I don’t know the technicalities, but it’s clearly a software and security of connection issue, so not straightforward.  It just needs the banks, building societies, etc to put their hands in their own pockets in stead of ours AND for Fitbit to be a great deal more customer friendly to their non-American customers than they currently are.  For some reason they seem to see us as too small to count compared to the USA.

Please add nationwide building society UK to versa fitpay. It’s been over a year now and I’m still waiting. Thanks. TJ.

So after a year is this still in consideration? Bit frustrating really, bought the Special Edition to use Fitbit pay only to find out theres one big bank, Santander, that can be linked. When will you add the other banks?

VaughanHP

Can you imagine if the Apple iWatch was only attached to a bank that nobody had heard of? well it wouldn't happen would it? The real problem is that Fitbit haven't given us an answer yet all we hear is from the moderators saying it's under consideration and we've moved you post.... oh and don't forget vote. Vote for what?. We need answers not silence. As I've said before Fitbit has serviced its own country not the rest of the world.

Answers Please.

Please add Lloyd’s, Barclays & First Direct to your list of Banks.

i can’t understand why advertise Fitpay when it’s not been thought out properly.  Only one recognisable bank Santander available.  Never even heard of the others.

get your act together, look at the top 10 UK banks and get them added ASAP 😕😡

Having had a Lloyd's outage of online banking this weekend I opened the
Starling account services and just top it up with spending money adding
another layer of security to my main account
They have been fantastic, better than Lloyds service and I can report that
it works on my Iconic really well

Starling are excellent ! I've been with them since I got an Ionic when they first came out & it is now my main account.
