Add Lloyds bank to UK Fitbit pay

More bank compatibility for uk Fitbit pay versa users. So far Fitbit pay is not connected to any major banks in the UK. The very few that fit bit pay is connected to I’ve never even heard of. So as a UK versa owner I have the special edition and can’t use the very feature that separates it from the the normal versa.

is Fitbit pay going to compatible with the major banks in the UK like Barclays, Lloyds, Santander, HSBC, NatWest, TSB, Metro Bank, Halifax, Royal Bank of Scotland etc and also I haven’t seen any where (shops) that accepts Fitbit pay yet.

I don’t think anybody is questioning quality of the banks they do work with.  However, changing banks when you’ve got your whole financial life based on one you’ve Ben with for many years, just to get a watch to what it’s supposed to is frankly ludicrous.  This product should not have been allowed on to the U.K. market, or there should have been a huge and prominent notification on the website and on every piece of publicity.

Absolutely agree, this is what I have said all along, and again it’s about time that Fitbit did something about it.

Given the current lack of support for UK banks, I'm rather upset with my new Versa (standard, which does offer fitbit pay), as I was hoping to use it for things like public transport  At this point, I would like to see all the major UK banks (both national and regional, such as Bank of Scotland, part of the Lloyds banking group).

Failing this, either allow the addition of PayPal, or allow Fitbit pay to connect via Google pay (or allow those of us in the UK to use Google pay instead, even if we have to download the app manually)

Currently, the device as is has what is essentially false advertising on the front, which isn't a good thing for any company to do, as it WILL tarnish Fitbit's reputation. I know I won't be recommending fitbit to others as it currently is.

Absolutely agree, Fitbit failing uk market, only interested in USA

Please add RBS and Amex (UK) to Fitbit pay! This was the sole reason I went for the Versa..

You need to add major UK banks to fitbit pay such as lloyds, natwest, hsbc, rbs and barclays. i, like many others, shelled out extra for the charge 3 special edition specifically for fitbit pay which separates it from the normal version to find that no major UK banks (apart from santander) are compatible. majorly disappointed and feel cheated as i’ve been saving my money for a very long time to purchase this!

Hi @neonbluecat! We wanted to let you know that the ideas you recently posted already exist on the Feature Suggestions Board. You can see them here where you can add your vote to those existing suggestions:
Natwest bank added to Fitbit Pay

Add Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to Fitbit pay

Barclays Bank for Fitbit Pay

Please try to make sure you only post one idea per suggestion, so we can keep the board organized, easily searchable and see which idea other members are voting for. Thanks for participating in Feature Suggestions!

Continues to be a joke that you can only support one suggestion.

The fact is Fitbit have disowned uk market in favour of US market and are doing absolutely nothing.

Please do not write and tell me I cannot say these things , I and many others are really fed up that we have bought goods from retail and private outlets that are not fit for purpose in uk market.

Very frustrating!

Think it should be clearer that it’s only handful of banks, most I don’t even recognise, feel a bit cheated

Another pebble gets thrown in the Canyon that represents Fitbit Pay's
coverage in the UK
Did you hear it hit the bottom? Well you wouldn't would you, its too deep.
Thanks for trying though

Yes, so deep is the canyon you have to count the seconds before you hear the pebble hit the bottom.

I guess one day as with brexit (another discussion) all the UK Fitbit users that expected contactless pay could rebel and send all their watches back not fit for purpose in the country sold I.e. the UK.

Might have quite an effect on their share prices then. Frustrating in the meantime!

Just received my new Fitbit and so disappointed that it barely supports any banks in UK. I feel it’s a bit naughty to promote this as a feature through UK high street sellers when I haven’t heard of the majority of the banks! Please add NatWest and the others for everyone else!

Naughty, no!
Completely misleading for the UK market, yes.
Four banks that hardly anyone is aware of or heard of.
Fitbit, about time you either commit to the Uk market or get out and leave it alone.

I was annoyed before knowing that I bought a Fitbit Limited Edition with Fitbit pay but then couldn’t use it because Fitbit only support a small number of non main U.K. banks. But then I saw that the United States supports Capital One but you can’t use it in the U.K. what’s the difference?

Come on Fitbit add more banks to the U.K. section.

The difference is Fitbit are only interested in the US market....!!

Just picked up my new Fitbit and one of the reasons I went with the Versa over the Lite was the payment function only to discover it supports a small small handful of banks. Would be great to see this added soon!

Probably best to return it straight away as you won’t get any joy out of Fitbit, they don’t even bother replying to your/our concerns.

Maybe we should all write to Martin Lewis to see if he can agitate fitbit to sort out the issue of having no UK high St Banks on fitbit pay. Like May others
