Hi, just got my Fitbit and was surprised to find that netball wasn't listed as an activity to log. I play 2 times a week but cannot wear Fitbit due to league rules. It would be very beneficial if this popular commonwealth sport could be added. I can see I am not the only one to request this, it would be really handy if it were but I can see people have been asking for years so maybe our asking is in veign!!
Please add netball to the list of activities which are available on the fitbit app.
It seems ludicrous that the inclusion of netball has been requested for over three years and still no update?
Netball is a huge sport in the UK (amongst other parts of the world) and plenty of fitbit users would certainly benefit from it being added on....
Very impressed with my new fitbit although the inability to add netball, as well as other sports manually, is a huge downside. For netball lovers I would not recommend unless this is updated.
Agreed please add Netball to the list. I play it weekly and as mentioned already the rules mean I can't wear my fitbit but I would really like to be able to log this activity.
Why isn't netball down as an option? it's one of the leading female team sports past time so it blows my mind that it's not given as an option. I'm currently adding it as hand ball and changing the calorie input but still, I can't help but feel it is unfair that it is not being represented.
People have been requesting netball for over 2 years now! I just got my Fitbit on the weekend and am surprised and sad there is no netball option as it's one of my main sports! So I'd also love for there to be a netball under the activity feature
I would also like to request netball be added to the options for manually adding sport. It is a huge sport in UK, as well as NZ and Australia. It is also played in many other countries. As league rules prohibit the wearing of jewellery for safety reasons, I wear my Charge 2 HR securely inside my sports bra! So my active minutes get logged, but it often categorises it incorrectly and therefore the calories used is incorrect. Please, please, please add it to solve this problem for a large number of active women. Thank you.
For those who are adding manually, I wore my old Fitbit charge HR in my sports bra and it still picked up all my steps & heart rate was monitored throughout. Obviously distance travelled was inaccurate due to Nature of footwork.
i have since upgraded to a charge Hr 2 and have taken off the straps and placed the tracker in a small
ziplock bag and once again, put into my sports bra & select 'workout' and start I think for the entirity. It seems to have worked. 1hr 47mins of training (intermittent participation) and Had roughly 5000 steps and 650cals. Heart rate never dropped it. Highly recommend. Would ideally like To accurately track distance run in a game but that would only happen if i wore a Surge with built in GPS
Could you please add netball to your list of activities? I was shocked when I searched last night after playing for 2hours that I could not log it! For a sport when I can't wear my band it's particularly important that I can log it accurately, you seem to have every other sport but netball.
Please can you add Netball as a a sport? Would love to be able to enter and to ensure it mirrors my actual workouts, rather than adding Basketball as I do now
Please can netball be added to the list of accepted activities, it's really frustrating for it to not update my activity minutes when I log netball. Basketball is there, why not netball!
Netball is played by more than 20 million people in more than 80 countries and you don't have it listed as a sport on Fitbit. Any reason why you completely ignore this sport? There are 600,000 affiliated in England alone!!
Wow I can’t believe Netball is not on the activities list especially seeing how many times it has been requested. In Australia & New Zealand Netball has the highest participation rate of all sports, yet you still do not include it? I can’t help but feel this has been prioritized down the backlog just because Americans don’t play it, but there are a lot more countries in the world using Fitbit & playing netball. This was a big disappointment after buying Fitbit as Netball is the only exercise I do & wanted track. Please reconsider snubbing Netball!
Netball is a sport played by more than 20 million people in over 70 countries. There are professional leagues in Australia and New Zealand and professional national teams in other countries. The sport is shown on TV in many different countries. More than 180,000 people over the age of 16 play the sport on a weekly basis in the UK, making it the most popular grass roots sports for women in the UK. Over 430,000 people play netball regularly in Australia.
Please can you have it as an option to log manually as an exercise? You are missing out on quite a big chunk of people who have to choose Basketball as the nearest option....
Hi, is anyone there listening? People have been asking for this since 2014 and I still can’t see Netball on the list of sports to add. Netball is the fastest growing sport in the uk for women with more and more amateur leagues setting up. It’s getting so many people back into fitness. I, as many others have commented, am unable to wear my Fitbit during matches due to safety reasons as it’s classed as jewellery, so I have to log it afterwards. I have to log it as basketball - which it isn’t. Please add Netball as a sport.
