So I decided to reach out directly to TD Bank since the Fitbit staff seem unwilling to respond. Here's the excerpt...
Looking to see how to connect with whomever is responsible for TD Bank getting on board with Fitbit Pay as an approved Bank. Many users have posted over 3yrs on Fitbit's Community Forums asking for TD Bank to be approved and nothing has happened. Trying to see if the issue is with TD or Fitbit. Please advise. Thank you.

just recently bought a charge 4 for the fitbit pay feature to be able to pay safely amid the pandemic times to not have to worry about fiddling around with my wallet or phone in stores, only to find out that my bank isnt supported. I hope that TD can be added as a supported bank in the future, its one of the most used banks in canada im surprised it wasnt already supported.
One if the biggest reason I bought my Versa 2 was for the contactless pay feature, only to find that TD-Bank, a very common bank in the US, is bit accepted by Fitbit pay.
Hi @LucaBazooka. Thanks for sharing this suggestion about adding TD Bank to Fitbit Pay with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. Is there any eta on when banks will be added. I'm thinking about buying a smart watch and am leaning towards Fitbit but if TD isn't added to the pay feature, I might get a Google watch.
From looking at the tread, adding TD to the list of banks have been going on since 2018. Has there been any progress? I agree with the community that we need more added!
I am disgruntalled that TD is not supported in Fitbit pay. I bought the watch wanting to track activities and use fitting pay. Nether of which this versa 2 does very well. I should have stayed 😪 with Google device.
Can we please get a comment from the moderators if and when this will happen? I think several years of waiting is more than reasonable wait time from your customers.
I am a TD Bank customer and also a President Choice credit card holder. I was expecting at least TD Bank in Canada would have been available for the pay app. But almost no major banks in Canada are. I contacted my bank, they could not do anything for me. Please have these added. Especially TD 🙂
Hi @Tnewton, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to add Canadian TD bank to the list of banks of Fitbit Pay. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.
For years I have had many fitbits which I really liked...the first one was just a click on clothing for counting steps...prob the first one fitbit put out Have had many since..so prob the last 5-6 years I've been questioning fitbit about TD. Posted many times and fitbit took down my posts as I was told in an email that I was **ahem**ing to much about TD not being included on fitbit. I personally have given up and purchased an apple watch. It's to bad for fitbit as they have lost a regular client. Good luck but personnaly I don't think fitbit will add TD. They seem to lean more towards american banks! As I mentionned to fitbit...canadians are also a big consumer of fitbits with TD accounts! Don't hold your breath..😂 on any time soon.
I read another user‘a post who explained it.m and it seemed to me legitimate. I cannot remember the details now. But I’m sure if you search the community posts you will find his/her post and can evaluate whether you feel it is accurate
I was frustrated like you. I had problems setting up my Fitbit but with technical support my issues disappeared. My First ionic died after 14 months but fortunately my credit card company extends the warranty another year so I was able to get a replacement paid for by the insurance company.
The ionic doesn’t have as many features as a watch from Apple but what it does it does iMHO better than Apple. And it is enough for me. Longevity is the only issue. If this one craps out I hollow ir fails before the 1 year and maybe they will let me purchase a new model.
