You should not have to vote for this. Why are you not supporting all banks ? People are not purchasing your devices because you don't support their bank , so these people are not part of the community and therefore not going to vote. Please add Ulster bank and n26 , Bank of Ireland do not currently support Google pay / Apple pay.
How many votes are considered "a lot"? Especially considering Ireland's population, I'm not sure whether we will ever get to a lot of votes... but we should definitely get this! Would love to start using Fitbit Pay but unable at the moment because the bank is not in the list.
It hasn't happened and probably wont happen. Standard free Revolut account now work so i suggest you use this instead, it works great on Ionic and Charge 3 , im sure others also just not tested. Its a much better option than added your main bank card.
Ulster Bank should be added to participating bank. I use my phone (Google pay,) to pay for items. I just downloaded Google pay from the play Store. My bank account is Ulster Bank. Since Fitbit is owned by Google it is hypocritical that I can use my phone but not the Fitbit. I should be able to download Google pay.
Fitbit uses fitbit pay not google pay , google has recently completed the purchase of Fitbit so likely future models will use Google Pay but can't see any changes for current hardware.
Ulsterbank have announced they are pulling out Ireland so might be something to consider.
Please see list of banks for ROI
AIB (Visa)
KBC (Mastercard)
Revolut
TransferWise (Mastercard)
bunq (Mastercard)
Curve (Mastercard)
An Post Money (Mastercard)
Payac (Mastercard)
I mentioned in previously reply , set up a Revolut account as that is the best solution.
Other options are changing banks , purchase new smart watch or waiting for something that might not ever happen.
