Add soccer/football to the exercise shortcuts list

Hi Guys,

Right now there are only a handful of modes and exercising which is very limited. Putting stuff in generic workout does not provide anywhere near accuarate results. E.g. I could be doing a home workout with pauses between reps and sets or I could be running flat out playing football/soccer .. The results should be very different.

I'd like to see Football/Soccer, Squash, Tennis, Cross country. Skiing and Snow shoeing, Rock Climbing Golf and any others you could add, seriously people love choices and the more the merrier.

These are all great suggestions. But some are a full one year old and still haven't been implemented.  Why not?  How hard can it be to add a few exercise names to a dropdown list?

I love my Fitbit surge but rock climbing is one of my main activities I do. I would love it if I could track my climb from my surge and not from the dashboard

Agreed. This should be an easy software change, just enable the altimeter to be on at all times during the activity (as opposed to only when stepping up stairs). This feature has been requested a number of times but fitbit doesn't seem interested.

Come one, there are 31 votes for inline/roller skating on this thread alone! There has got to be a way to figure out how to calculate these calories properly!

 

I guarantee you that if you wanted to run simulations with a roller derby team, you would have plenty of volunteers! We would put in plenty of extra time and energy to help your programmers figure out the proper number of calories we are burning!

This is awesome! It would be a great idea to add rock climbing as an exercise on the Surge, I'm sure other users can find this very helpful and bet that you would fall more in love with your tracker! Thank you for sharing.

I climb multiple times a week and would love to have my blaze track this activity accurately. Is the "workout" activity sufficient? It would be nice if there was a specific activity for climbing.

Would like to request that Roller Skating be added to the fitbit acitivity. Roller skating is very popular in Chicago and it's how I stay physically fit. I thought it was automatically tracked since it involves steps. Such a disappointment. I have the fitbit blaze and invested more than 250.00 to purchase this device.

Squash please. It seems to be the most common request reading through this thread, yet it is still not available. Come on Fitbit? Personally, I'd like to see football on there too, but let's start with squash first. Great, high intensity activity that is hard to match with anything else

Hiya,

 

New to Fitbit however do have a Charge 2 and think it's a very good tool to help keep or try to keep fit.

 

I play a lot of football and was wondering if it was possible to add that as an activity instead of manually having to put it down as football. Makes it a bit easier to track for people who forget to do that. 

 

Otherwise pretty amazing gadget 🙂

Please include more workout types! Popular workouts like Insanity, P90X, high intensity indoor spin classes, etc. would all be really helpful additions. Hot yoga isn't even an option. It seems like only the bare basics are available.
