Add soccer/football to the exercise shortcuts list

Hi Guys,

Right now there are only a handful of modes and exercising which is very limited. Putting stuff in generic workout does not provide anywhere near accuarate results. E.g. I could be doing a home workout with pauses between reps and sets or I could be running flat out playing football/soccer .. The results should be very different.

I'd like to see Football/Soccer, Squash, Tennis, Cross country. Skiing and Snow shoeing, Rock Climbing Golf and any others you could add, seriously people love choices and the more the merrier.

Thanks,
Keith

Yes, I would love this feature built into the app. I play football twice a week and would love to just select "Football" press & hold, and hit the field!

Well this is why I own a Polar. FitBit get your $hit together. Unacceptable, as it shouldn't  be a manual change. In FitBit's defence this is how Garmin does it as well, a manual change. Which is why I sold my vivoactive hr. I guess it's not for me to understand how just Polar can pull off skating. As well as a plethora of other activities from the device.

I would love this, got excited about the exercise shortcuts but so disappointed that indoor climbing isn't there!

Hey guys

I've been using the run tracking to track my performance when training and playing football, but the data is more or less useless. Sure it tracks distance and pace, BPM, GPS data and what you'd need for running but besides bpm and distance it's irrelevant.

What I would love is
Primary areas covered
Top speed
Acceleration/deceleration
Sprints (speed, number of, distance, location data specifically for those data points - my definition of a sprint would be any sudden change of pace and it should be fairly easy to tracking given the continuous tracking via GPS and accelerometer)
Possibility to register data for 1. and 2. half instead of everything as a whole
Possibly also adding # of tackles (altimeter application), turning speed/ direction changes etc.

While the Ionic may not be the obvious wearable choice for footballers I get away with wearing it taped to my lower back during matches and training and having the opportunity to track performance would be greatly appreciated - even if you just do it for wrist based tracking.

Please add Soccer to the choices of exercise.

Add more team based sports as exercise options including football. Since I only play football it would be good if the tracker could intelligently pick that option when auto tracking starts.

Only having 3 exersises to choose from when starting an training session are the most annoying thing with the app. I want to be able to choose cross-country skiing, or even better; have both classic and skating cross-country style.

At least it should be possible to edit the exersise in the app after training, or maybe have an "Other" item in the shortlist to keep the list short. And then be able to edit after the session is done. This way I could have both the gps track and the correct exersise logged. This is not possible in the current version (android)

Hi, I've recently bought a rowing machine for my house. I am very surprised that when I do some exercise (iniated by holding down the button on the Fitbit and again when I finish), and I go on to the app/dashboard to categorise the exercise as Rowing Machine, that it doesn't automatically remove the steps and distance covered measurements from my total, as it is quite clear when selecting Rowing Machine that I was sat down, not going anywhere!

Please could you add this simple fix in to the app so:

- when you choose Rowing Machine from the exercise type, it automatically sets the steps & distance covered from that activity to zero, so those figures are not innaccurately boosted.

Thank you,

James

It would be great to have more exercise options then just walk, run, golf, swimming, treadmill, etc. I do a lot of Beach Body on Demand videos where each workout focuses on legs, arms, core, cardio. This biggest workout right now is 80 Day Obsession. I see people with the Iphone watch where they can actually pick Beach Body on Demand and then select the program/exercise they are doing.

Polar A370 having more than 100 workout/exercise option in their list and that work well with the mobile apps, which their workout include all Lesmilss Program. Hope Fitbit can bring that in too.

I only have the option to add 7 of 20 different types of exercise to my Ionic. I am ok with that there are only 7 slots available, but I have a problem with the lack of options for exercise types. For example I would like to add cross country skiing, kayaking and rowing machine, just to mention a few of my hobbies that are not included.
