Add soccer/football to the exercise shortcuts list

Hi Guys,

Right now there are only a handful of modes and exercising which is very limited. Putting stuff in generic workout does not provide anywhere near accuarate results. E.g. I could be doing a home workout with pauses between reps and sets or I could be running flat out playing football/soccer .. The results should be very different.

I'd like to see Football/Soccer, Squash, Tennis, Cross country. Skiing and Snow shoeing, Rock Climbing Golf and any others you could add, seriously people love choices and the more the merrier.

Thanks,
Keith

Can we please add:

  • Strength Training
  • Recumbent Bike
  • Treadmill Walk (since the machine does more work for you than an outdoor walk)
  • Treadmill Run
  • Stationary Bike
  • Cycling

I love my FitBit. I'll start there! It's more accurate than any other that attempts to come close. With that being said, there are 2 things I'd love to see happen.

1.  I do have a treadmill but I must admit, most of my workouts are Turbo Fire (with Chalene Johnson--I adore her spirit and her workouts; I also do Zumba, and I do them all in the comforts of my home via DVD). However, I don't really have a way to log it as there's only (walking, running, swimming, hiking). While I do, participate in those activities, the main activitiy that I will do at least 6 days per week, will be Turbo Fire. Please please please, if you could add some of the DVD's that are popular, on Beach Body etc...that'd be awesome!

2.  I would love being able to sync/link my sparkpeople app with my fitbit app, as I have alot of recipes within sparkpeople...I prefer to cook over pre-packaged meals. However I don't see how I can add my recipes to my fitbit so I have to find something that is comparative, although I'm not sure how accurate it is. So if one app could "talk to" the other, it would help immensely. I could add all of my foods eaten that day into my sparkpeople and it would automatically sync/upload to my fitbit.

If these 2 things were done I'd be in HEAVEN! Otherwise, I absolutely love Fitbit!

They might not be exactly the ones you want, but are you aware there are about 20 different exercise choices?

See How do I change or reorder the exercises in the Exercise app?

Thank you. Yes I'm aware of those. I really want the Chalene Johnson Turbo
Fire though. lol

I am aware of those. I just really love the Turbo Fire exercises. They're challenging, the music is amazing, and she's very inspiring. Thanks!

I guess I misunderstood when you said "there's only (walking, running, swimming, hiking)", and just wanted you to know there are also others.

Oh you're fine...btw, the ones that I did see, were only like 9, 10 minutes at most. Are there any for 45/60 minutes long? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot! Smiley LOL

Not sure why exercise options are so limited, nor the ability to add personal options.  Shoveling snow, cleaning the house, raking the lawn, are but a few.  I would be happy to manually add these items, but that doesn't seem to be an option, while I have seen listed others are also looking for these items.  We're happy to exercise and manually post, just looking for a method to be able to do this,  thanks.

Soccer is so popular and I'm always playing. The exercises are so limited, soccer would be a great addition that I'm sure many would agree

Soccer should be added to the exercise options. Or a category where I can edit the name.

I play football and I sometimes monitor my training and games automatically, where the data appears as "sport", however, I don't get distance data, so I often log it using the shortcuts as "run". Currently, there are very few shortcuts available and your GPS is only turned on when using bike, run and walk.

Dear Fitbit team,

would be great to add additional "Training Logos" in the Mobile App.

Currently there are only 5 or so available (ie. Walking, Swimming, Cycling, Weight lifting and Sports General). You could add e.g. Golf, Tennis/Squash, Skiing etc

Many thanks
