Adding more Gym Activities to the list of Common activities

Hi

Please can you look into adding more gym activies to the Activities section?

Items like the power plate, and exercises like pull ups are not listed, and adding items such as

power plate seems to be a difficult task, since you need the calorie count.

It would actually be nice if "all" gym activities could be added to the list. For me, this just makes sense.

Thanks!

Agreed.

Would even like to see activities such as push-ups and pull-ups added to list, which will be useful for those of us who have fitbit's w/ HR monitors.

I would also LOVE to see more exercises added into the selection, especially Power Plate, which is my staple exercise.

When I do 20 to 30 min of Power Plate (full range of exercises + one-legged + stability ball, etc.), it comes up as Outdoor Bike...  I have no idea how many calories 25 min of outdoor bike would burn; the terrain would be a huge factor, I think.  So, even if I modify the entry to be "precise", calorie-wise, I think, it is quite far from what Power Plate workout would produce.

There seems to be no reliable study as to how many calories one would burn during a Power Plate workout.  The closest estimate I came across was on Livestrong.com, and it was 47 cal for a 10 min PP workout for a 150 lbs person.

I would also like to see more choices. For example sports like softball. I also enjoying bowling once a week but don't know how I can add that. Also during many of the classes I do we might be doing step class for the first 30 mins but then change it up to upper body weights. Or Kickboxing class that's half an abs workout.

I'd like surfing to be added. I do a lot of surfing, and as you can't wear Fitbit for water-based activities it is important to cover these as an option. Other fitness trackers include surf activities. The closest available on Fitbit is swimming, which just isn't the same.

Common workout programs like Body pump, body combat, and Piyo should be added! Especially with body pump I don't feel like there is a close alternative choice

This could give fitbit a massive advatange.

I can find loads of apps that track cardio type stuff (running, walking, cycling, etc) just like the existing fitbit app/webpage, but can i find a good app that allows tracking of cardio type stuff, along with tracking more physical activities like weights, rowing machines, etc?

I personally want one app that stores all my stuff, rather than having one app dedicated to all the cardio information, and one to physical stuff.

At some stage i will find such an app, and i'll migrate my app usage to such an app, instead of investiging all my time (as i currently do) in the fitbit app.

Agreed and it would be good to be able to edit activities you have picked in case you select the wrong one. At present there does not seem to be a way to chnage it subsequently. Would be good to allow people to customise or add their own activities. It would also be good on the app or website to able to analyse the data based on activity type. Similar to far in be able to look at all runs or better still be able to define a workout or run to look at improvement in that activity over time.

More options would be really great, definitely a good way to keep a correct track of your activities!

I see gardening on the activities list which is great, but I also end up doing a lot of heavy lifting and walking at the same time. Myfitness pal has an activity for moving heavy boxes/ cleaning, but I'd rather just use my fitbit app and keep everything in one place. Is it possible to add this option?
