Barclays Bank for Fitbit Pay

I would love to see more banks and credit unions on Fitbit Pay. It’s really not comparable to Apple or Android Pay at this point. Where are Barclays, Citibank, Discover, etc. These are major card issuers that aren’t on Fitbit Pay. Please make more cards available.

Hi I would like to be able to pay in shops for items using my Fitbit Charge 5. However, at the moment, Barclays Bank is not supported by Fitbit Pay UK. Could you please add this bank to Fitbit Pay?

5 YEARS later and still no support for Google Pay or Fitbit Pay in the UK. The Barclaycard app contactless is pretty useless - not compatible with other cards, does not function well, currently does not work at all for me despite being told there was a bug 3 months ago and they were fixing it as a priority! So I have just stopped using it and have moved to Chase (and double the cashback). Good riddance I say - repeated failings and constant false promises to improve things!

The issue is Barclays Bank who have their own solution they prefer to use. 

Also, Fitbit Pay is being replaced by Google Wallet. This will supposedly increase the number of banks and cards available. For sure, Google will have more clout. 

As a practical matter, I stopped using Fitbit Pay as the ubiquitous use of card tap-to-pay is just as easy as using my watch. And it seems every time I try to use Fitbit Pay, I need to enter my password again, slowing down the process. Not having a password on my watch now makes everything faster. 

At this point, the only value of Fitbit Pay / Google Wallet will be paying when I don't have my wallet, which was useful a couple times.

If what @LarryQW says is True, google wallet supports Barclays debt and Credit cards so it would support paying from Fitbit if google wallet is made available for Fitbit to use. This would resolve the issue.

@SignedAdam I thought I would give Google Wallet a try now that it is supported on Fitbit. STILL NO LUCK! It says that Barclaycard is not supported! They have literally lost many thousands of pounds spend over this, just from me alone. And they seem to have completely removed the contactless option from their own Barclaycard app - they are so incompetent, other banks have had this working for years!
