It is absurd that this feature has been removed. I guess Google/Fitbit expects everyone to use a tablet or projection to view their large library of video content. I honestly just want a rationale for why someone would consider this to be a good deal. Because wtaf?
Yes this 100%. The phone app is confusing and buggy and ugly and tiny. It is a nightmare for a senior citizen with a small phone (me). Please bring back the website. How hard would that be? Seriously?
Absolutely essential. My Fitbit is now recording relaxation as sleep. Can't delete from app since it keeps readding the deleted logs. Spending over an hour every night to fix the inaccurate recording is ridiculous. The online dashboard would've been one edit and done. Now it's hope after over 100 tries one sticks.
Not all of us are fluent in phones. It's easier to view information on a PC, whether it's Windows, Chrome, Linux, Apple, etc. Writing with a PC keyboard allows us to edit more easily. A webpage, like you had before the merger with Google, is ideal. Thank you.
This is ridiculous, can you really not see your dashboard on the website?! I use the app all the time but also need the webpage view. This needs to be fixed or I may need to switch to a new device away from fitbit.
I agree with everyone who wants to see a return of the web dashboard. It is discriminatory making us use our phones as the only way to access our dashboard. I have a visual impairment which makes it very difficult for me to use phone apps. Voice commands are not the answer as nobody builds in appropriate functionality for these. Also you still need to be able to see the small screen to set the up in the first place. It is not practical or possible to put many of the accessible software options that can be used on a PC on to your phone. For me to use the dashboard effectively it is necessary for me to have an extra large screen and a keyboard.
People with disabilities are being increasingly excluded from using products becasue we are being forced to use smartphones which a lot of us cannot afford.
Unfortuntately, like many others, after decades of using Fitbit, I will need to find an alternative option as they are making it impossible for me to use in any real way. It is now effectively just a watch that I can just about read on the largest setting I am able to select.
I know nobody at Google reads these, so it's just a vent. Why on earth is everything moving to mobile and we can't use a larger screen, laptop, pc, or otherwise to see the data, and we have to focus on a tiny screen!
I imagine after all of us have switched over to something else, they will do something about it. Until then, I don't think they care or are motivated enough. I know I won't be replacing the Fit bit watch.
I have been a Fitbit user since they were introduced. I pay the Premium subscription to make targeted, data-driven decisions about my sleep, health, and activity. Being relegated to "analyzing" this data on my tiny watch or phone screen is unacceptable.
Another person who is unhappy with not being able to access my dashboard on my PC. I got a report on my tablet that I had multiple bouts of A-fib at night. I want to copy it to my computer for a permanent record and forward it to my doctor!
I too find it difficult to see the screen on my smartphone and really need the web dashboard for fitbit to be of much use to me. It should be ADA compliant if health insurance is paying for it like mine is.
I thought I was going mad not being able to find the website anymore, now I know better!
I wanted to use the website to look at my data in more detail and print some out for a doctors visit, seems like I just have to take screenshots of my little phone now.
Ah, I didn't realise that, must have been years ago I used it 🙂
I switched to an Apple watch from my previous Fitbit a while ago, but needed overnight heart monitoring so got a Fitbit again as the Apple Watch eats the battery and can't be relied on!
I will have a look at that link, thanks very much.
I am 68 years old, and I used to LOVE the dashboard online accessed on my computer. I could see everything, I could change things easily, I could print off reports for my doctor and see the circular graph that broke down the nutrients, and most important, I could build my own recipes and record my food diary easily. Using the phone is VERY hard!
